Fantastic views of the coast, and the Channel Islands! The staff are friendly, and helpful! My wife and I can't wait to go back for another get away!

Stay was horrible. I've had a good fair share of hotels in my past but this one broke the camels back. My girlfriend & I's stay was horrible-Booked 5 nights, fireplace didn't work, their showers have one door so everytime you shower you get half the bathroom floor wet. We requested to switch rooms twice & the attendant said they'd return shortly & never came back. On the 3rd day I stepped into the shower & had the door slide off the top end it's only connected to slide off, shatter and sliced my arm & hand. When asked for a refund they only paid back half the amount for the stay. So far can't get progress the situation until owner has been contacted which has been no luck the past several nights. The view is great, but if youd enjoy a proper stay, maybe even the safety of your physical being I'd consider staying at another inn. The manager (Jay) returned attitude when attempting to resolve the issue.

I really loved it here. The location is amazing. You can't get a better view for the money. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The bedding was clean, the bathrooms were clean. My only complaint is the carpeting it could be replaced, otherwise the room was great and I will definitely be going back again. As a matter of fact, I already made reservations.

We stayed here a couple of times. The beauty and atmosphere of the area is definitely a 5/5 but not so much the service or cleanliness. Our rooms were dirty and dusty, there was a weird smell, we had spider webs and even a rat in our room. That was our second stay. On our first stay, our luggage was stolen. Staff wasn't exactly helpful on any of those occurrences.
Nevertheless we did enjoy our stay very much, the view was stunning, and being so close to the sea is wonderful. DEFINITELY get a balcony room for the view. But bring your own deodorizer and keep luggage close!response / report this review -

We absolutely love Inn on the Beach! If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place. But if you are looking for a cozy room with the most amazing view and the sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep, I cannot think of a better place to stay. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful, only had one negative interaction with one of the employees at the front desk about a problem with the fireplace in our room. However, they worked to resolve the problem quickly and ensure that my wife and I were completely satisfied with our stay.

We love the location. We love the area and have gotten to know it well. Inn on the Beach is not for everyone. In the summer it can get hit and the a/c does not work. It needs some maintenance. However, it works for us. In the winter, there are fireplaces and that is fun. The view is great. The staff is nice. We appreciate the continental breakfast. Parking is free. Close to everything.

Clean public restroom and ease to get to. Just a couple of blocks from freeway exit. A nice couple of blocks of shops and restaurants.

it's a kooky little place. perfect to take a girl who isnt fussy, but dont take anyone who is high maintenance or who you are trying to impress here. It's cool because it is right on the beach and there is a lot to do within walking distance, but the rooms are pretty run down.

Love the Inn on the Beach. Very affordable and it is right on the beach! Great location, includes breakfast and the walking path and boardwalk isn't far away. Close to the harbor, restaurants and shopping. One of our favorite places!

Absolutely stunning beach view! Whenever I need to detach from the world, I reflect near the beach. This place is like everything I dreamed of to be close to the beach in California and hear the waves that soothes my soul. Shabby chic victorian room design. I will definitely visit again
