Cool and Creative Pizza Place

PROS

- Excellent atmosphere - Cool Vibe
- Great location - 3 blocks from the Santa Fe Center Plaza
- Pizza was very good. Great selction of pizza toppings and choices.
- Great for kids and adults.

CONS

- You have to order and pay first before you sit down, so even though it is a table service environment, you are already paid up thus you have to add a tip before the experience even starts which is odd for a great plce like this. I would expect that set up at a CC's or lower level pizza place environment.

- I ordered a prosciutto and kale pizza which tasted great but the prosciutto could have been cut up a little bit. When I took a bite, I basically pulled the entire topping layer off.

OVERALL

I really like the place. The couple negatives were few and fixable. I would recommend everyone try this at least once.

Busy but organised. Service was fast and efficient, other than tea refills. Salad was fresh and the house dressing tasty. The brick oven pizza was really good. Only suggestion I would have, when you are directly next to 2 large hotels, maybe be a little more friendly to new patrons, if someone doesn't know your processes for ordering, seating, and so on.

Always pleased with our frequent trips to Il Vicino. It's our favorite place to take family/friends. Love the pizza and their pasta too. The service is great too with a very friendly. staff. Il Vicino also has a free pizza offer. This works with a punch card you get on your first order and ends with a certain number of pizzas ordered.

Pizza is good and calzones are a good size. Service is good but it has the feel of a fast food restaurant. Walking distance to the Plaza.

Ordered take-out online. Took 40 min to have order ready and 3 items were missing. Called and spoke to manager, who told us even though we paid online he could not credit our card back. Offered store credit, but we'll see if they honor it.

The pizza and salad here we're exceptional. We were served quickly. The only thing I didn't really like is that you order at the counter and then go sit down. I would prefer that you are able to sit down, view the menu and then order.

A local chain that has some of the most delicious pizza and all of Santa Fe. Their pizza special gives you a delicious well made italian style personal pizza of your choice, a half salad, and a drink for just $11.95.

I recommend the pollo e pumani.

Only reason I didn't get pics is I was relishing the food too much to think of reviewing it.

We ordered the tartufo and the prosciutto e ruccola pizzas. Both pizzas were excellent. Their wine list was also great and shockingly well priced. Two pizzas and a bottle of wine was about $50, for the quality of the food, I was very happy with the cost. The service is the only thing keeping it from 5 stars. There wasn't anything wrong with the service, it just wasn't exceptional. Also, I'm not a fan of ordering and paying at the counter, and deciding my tip before I've even been served.

A wonderful place for lunch or dinner. My husband and I stop by every time we're in Santa Fe. In love with their patio and delicious fire cooked pizzas and calzones. Fantastic Caesar salad too.
