No Star because these scoundrels did not give me my full $50 deposit back. They chose to give me $30 and every time I call them they say they will refund my $20 and never have. It's been a month! Don't stay here.

I love it here. The place is clean. Staff more than helpful. And offers a self serve lite breakfast and kid friendly place.

I have enjoyed my stay here. . .no wonder I come back week after week. The receptionist is always very courteous. She serves me with exceptional professionalism.

The girl at the counter at night was extremely nice and I witnessed her deal with several difficult customers very well. She earns this place the stars I gave it. The ghetto guests whom stay here are why I subtracted stars. I understand the place can't necessarily turn away guests, but if they could prevent them from screaming at each other all night it would probably get them more business.

I'm a business traveler and I blog and write reviews. I try to be unbiased but dang. This place was terrible. I literally turned around and went up the street. This place has random crack heads and crazy people yelling at me as I drove up. Telling me I was the devil and I was going to die. When I was inside about to pay for my room I stepped out to grab my cigarettes from my car. Some method addict was looking in my car like he was prowling. I don't recommend this place on Amy note. Save your time and money and go somewhere else safer

Very old inside and out, and it smelled bad. I think it was a dangerous placethere were bullet holes in one of the units. The front desk ppl were rude. The waffle iron didn't work.

This is an awful place to stay. I had to ask to get my room cleaned and they never did. I was there for 4 days and the cleaned my room once. On my last day I decided to check out their "breakfast" and the coffee was Luke warm and there was no breakfast. Customer service was very, very poor.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I hadn't even parked my car and no less then 3 drug addicts walked by. I went in the room with my husband and the smell of chemicals was awful. The light on the ceiling was "held on" with scotch tape. I only gave it a 1 star so it would show up. We couldn't stay there as I didn't want my husband to have to stay awake just to make sure we weren't robbed or worse.

Decent budget accommodation. Don't expect too much, and it'll be fine. There are beds. The usual cheap hotel breakfast. There is a bathroom.
The pros: cheaper than all other local options. Close to where we needed to be.
The cons: Shower hot/ cold controls backwards. Sink handles impossible for kids to turn on. Cigarette burn on bedspread. 'Heated' pool heated only by the sun. 'Hot tub' = same story. Kind of sketchy area, kind of sketchy clienteledidn't feel comfortable spending time in pool area with kids, with half dozen smoking, drinking shirtless guys hanging around. First night spent in a horrible room. Dirty, not well maintained. Looked like someone had been shooting spit wads at the bathroom door. Got last available room decided to make best of it . Went to leave the room, next morning door would NOT lock from outside. Went to desk moved us 2 doors over night and day difference. Wow. Clean, pleasant place to stay. Be careful here. Lots of people running around, a very busy place.

The staff was rude and didn't seem to want to actually help their guests. When asked to clean the room they did not. And when asked to "not disturb", they ignored that. The breakfast (when you could find it) was measly and pathetic. There was nothing left by 830 am despite the "continental breakfast" hours being until 9am. But the room rates were decent.

Front desk staff was rude upon check in. The lady acted as though our questions, and presence, were an inconvenience. The breakfast left much to be desired. By that I mean there was next to nothing left when we came down for breakfast at 8:30.

Pets are not allowed in the lobby, so if you are traveling solo with a pet don't come here you won't be able to check in. I wasn't asked if my dog was a service animal was made to wait outside when it was freezing. By the time we made it to our room we learned the remote didn't work which wasn't a surprise seeing as it didn't even have a battery cover and it rattled. And the tv was so fuzzy it wasn't worth watching. Only reason we stayed longer than we wanted is it was the only hotel in our budget with an opening. I'd never come back.

We checked in for a week. The room was partially renovated / updated. Had breakfast a few mornings which was okay. The one thing that will bring us back is a member of their staff, Mundy. She is wonderful, super helpful and accommodating, she is a true treasure and Howard Johnson is lucky to have her on their team. Thank you Mundy!

Room was okay, guests were loud. Other times I've stayed there I had much better service, and cleaner room. There were holes in the sink the shower leaked onto the floor, the door hardly opened had to put all your weight into it to get the door open, smelt of stale smoke, in a non smoke room. Other rooms are better don't stay in room 126!
