We stayed here last night to celebrate our 35th anniversary.
Every member of the staff was very helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious, we had steak and it was prepared to a perfect finish with all of its juices still in the meat.
For people with small children they had a visit from Santa and his helpers.
We walked outside to see all the lights, after all the hotel had the festival of lights, which was one of the most beautiful light displays I have ever seen.

This is a really nice hotel in Riverside. Their most popular times during Christmas when they decorate the entire hotel as well as the outdoor mall. They usually have a festival each year with food, vendors and ice skating. The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are large and very well equipped. The pool is also very large and a fun getaway if you are there in the summer. Summer rates are traditionally cheaper then the Christmas rates which can be very very high. I would highly recommend at least walking through the hotel as it is very historic and has a lot of interesting facts to see

Historical Landmark Castle style hotel famous for it's Festival of Lights during Christmas time. If you are staying in this hotel, it feels just like that - you are in Spanish medieval castle- spacious rooms, large windows, candles, luxury foods brought to you by servants. During Christmas time this place is turned into fairy tail decorated with millions of lights, mechanically moving angels, santas, princesses. You can get in inside if you have reservations to one of hotel's restaurants. Richard and Pat Nixon got married here, and Ronald and Nancy Reagan spent their honeymoon. I loved my room with courtyard views. Bed had down comforter , luxury pillows, beautifully crafted bathroom.Brunch is worth the money

Beautiful place especially at this time of year. All the lights are amazing and festive, the work that was put in to make all this happen is greatly appreciated. The hotel is incredible, the kids would be amazed with all the lights and the Christmas decorations placed all over the Mission. Lots of shops and places to eat. We've made it to the lighting ceremony for the past 5 years and in my opinion it gets better each year.

Very nice. Lots of History everywhere.
Residents have dined and stayed here. Make sure you walk around and look at everything. Well worth the trip. Not cheap but not too pricey. Within walking distance of everything downtown. Goes this Christmas Holiday and take the Sleigh Ride.

One of THE Hotels of the 20th Century going into the 21st. Host to Presidents and foreign dignitaries, this hotel is a classic in every sense of the word.

Known for the "Festival of Lights" during the holidays. It's worth a visit but beware of the crowds.

Weddings can be special here, and the rooms are on the high end, but the service is why.

Grab a drink, listen to live music, dine, or stayyou won't be disappointed.

The highlight here is the venue. Staying here is like a trip back in time. The grounds are immaculate and the upcoming holiday decorations are really second to none. It's the iconic heart and soul of Riverside. If you haven't visited on a December night you're missing out. As far as eating at one of the restaurants on the grounds the venue is better than the food. It's not that the food is bad, it's just ok.

We loved this hotel, If you haven't stayed here, it is a must! This is the most ecliptic Hotel we've ever stayed at, they also have three or four different dining choices, from a Bar setting to fine dining. I think we ate at three of them and all were awesome, also it is a short walk two they're downtown Promenade area which also had several different dining and dessert choices.

Went for my birthday, 1st time here. Loved the history behind the property and the haunted factor. Staff is friendly and helpful on places to see, things to do. The property landscaping was well managed but the building itself has alot of things that need to be addressed. Spa owner is a little full of self as her face is plastered everywhere and on everything. Sunday brunch is absolutely incredible but I recommend getting a reservation, as it is usually packed. The front dining area more quiet than the inner dining area. Will definitely be back.

It was beautiful. We went for lunch buffet and the food was phenomenal. There was a salad bar and a main course bar and a dessert bar. They had vegetables, white rice, chicken (with an Indian sauce I believe), Roast beef (which personally I thought was dry and overcooked), and salmon which was exquisite!!! The dessert bar had many yummy cakes and desserts. My favorite was this gorgeous raspberry cake that literally had glittery fruit sauce on top. Everyone was really nice and I loved going. Would definitely recommend!!

Wonderful champagne brunch today at the historic Mission Inn. I recommend reservations- no waiting even on Father's Day. Service was great. More food and desserts than I've seen at other brunches. Prime rib was excellent. Enjoy the flowers and artwork between courses. Live music too. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Came here for their Sunday brunch. Made a reservation but got there almost half an hour early. To my surprise we got seated immediately anyway! The food was pretty good but not amazing, the service was great and the patio was beautiful. Had a great time overall.

It was our first time at the Mission Inn restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful patio ambience, classical music and great service by Hector. Before we sat down we enjoyed the 54° bar with delightful tenor sax by the baldheaded magician of the saxophone. Our dinner server, Hector, was amazing and even brought us specialties that excited our spicy New Mexican palette. I can't wait to come back.

Stopped by for a quick drink. Service was top notch. Our first drink ordered was a Cadillac Margarita. Unfortunately it tasted like it had Sprite mixed in and it was heavy on the sweet and sour. We sent it back and ordered a skinny margarita with an enchilada dinner. Both were amazing. The salsa for the chips and salsa was really good. It had a unique taste that we could not get enough of. We will be coming back.

This place is fantastic. The lobby and restaurant/bar areas are fully explore-able during the day (and of course the Bar is open in the evenings) and you can often find Riverside City/County/Business/Community events are hosted here. There are parrots to visit for the little ones, near where the valet is and there is an interesting tunnel through the spa that smells like lavender and leads to Simple Simon's and the cupcake shop. The rooms are pretty luxurious, especially near the top and the conference rooms are very adequate and suit various needs. Weddings here are beautiful and the high tea at the restaurant is very nice for a birthday.
