Check in took forever, as I had a reservation. I was paying cash. That took more time. Check your bill as the safe charge is free $$ as I NEVER use it. My room had a noisy heater. The sofa needs replacing.

This was a great place to stay for a weekend trip to New York City. The busses are very reliable and there is an IHOP right next to the hotel. Also, there is a Target and several restaurants that are an easy drive from the hotel.

They're trash. We payed for the room and they're charging us extra because we have 2 SMALL extra people who could easily fit in the room. HOWEVER they're trying to force us into buying a larger room.

The front desk personal were very nice. The place is poorly kept. The room was shabby. Sofa bed was dirty and disgusting looking. The mattress was horrible my back was hurting and kept having to wake up to reposition myself. Rugs were dirty. Bathtub had paint peeling and no grab bars for the shower. Terrible for the price. Go elsewhere. Pay a little more for something better.

Horrible, rude, nasty, loud place! As soon as we checked in and got in our room a cockroach landed on my shoulder! Blood splatter was all over our sheets. We were moved from room 302 to 304 where we found a crack pipe! Second day our key cards did not work and the front desk did absolutely nothing to help me! It took me losing my cool to get any type of help then was scolded like a child once I finally convinced the clerk to let me in my room! It was an added bonus that the rooms on either side of us was occupied by "working girls" who had "clients" every hour from 11 PM until 6ish am the following morning. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here! If this trip was not already set up by our employer there is NO WAY I would have ever stayed here!!

The renovations are beautiful. The staff was nothing but excellent and accommodating. The entire hotel was stunning, from design to staff. I have no complaints and hope to return in the summer! Even though it was the winter when I stayed, it was still lovely.

This place is horrible, and you don't want to stay there. I booked this place for a family member who travels to NJ often. I originally got the information from my RCI account which has information for nightly stays and I will be contacting them. Howard Johnson's are privately owned hotels now and the people buying these hotels have no understanding of cleanliness and sanitation. This family member paid for a week during Christmas and after the third day he couldn't stand it anymore and left. They of course kept all the money and didn't refund him for the unused days. They also charged him a service fee of $12.50 additional a day on top of the rate. The only reason why he stayed for 3 days is because it was Christmas and being retired, alone what else do you do. I feel terrible and it makes me angry :( I think if your going to buy a hotel or a chain of hotels then you should be required to take a course or some type of training on cleanliness. I don't want to call this culture out or the back ground of the people that are buying property in the United States. We ask that you make the changes needed to get positive reviews.

The room smells badly, the curtains are ripped and missing section.s It's a non-smoking room and yet there are cigarette butts from someone behind the nightstand which tells me that the cleaning staff doesn't do their job properly. I had to replace a broken (not just blown but physically broken) light bulb in a lamp from which someone could have cut themselves on the glass shards on the carpet and the television remote and alarm clock do not work properly. The coffee maker does not work at all so I can't even make myself a cup in the morning and the front desk staff are lazy and some are just plain rude. There aren't enough outlets in the room to plug anything in do in order to charge my phone, I need to unplug the television or the refrigerator. I am repeatedly bothered by room service despite the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door handle. There is a shopping center nearby (within walking distance) but no really useful stores there. I'm very disappointed in this establishment and wish I could be refunded for my stay. I will NEVER stay here again.
