This place has never been fancy, but it's certainly went downhill. Carpet is ripped, walls are filthy, never even vacuumed our room and there were cigarette ashes all over the floor from the previous people. And there was a huge stain on the comforter we didn't even use it. You'll contemplate asking for your money back, we bit the bullet and slept there for one night but will never return

Worse place I have ever stayed. Booked for two nights with credit card and a deposit for second. Called us while at cedar point demanding we get our belongings out or they'd be thrown out since check out was at 11. (Even though we booked it for two nights). Called the bank and tried charging for another night. After that was going to keep deposit stating one towel was missing.I went to the room and brought back everything. All this while taking a video. They gave back the deposit. When we left he yelled you go ahead and make that movie, I don't care. I replied you obviously do or else you wouldn't be running out here to tell us that.

Never again, they have homeless people living there and also people on house arrest. They don't clean the rooms, plus bed bugs. Dirty linen in the front office. And plus the owner gets an attitude if you ask for toilet tissue.
Plus the pool is a joke.
My advice 2 anyone is go next door to Rodeway inn cleaner plus better service.

My wife and I have been staying here for the past at least 4 years for her birthday weekend..so of course we made reservations again. It has never been fancy or anything to brag about but just what you need. Upon arriving on my wife's birthday we entered our room and as I always do I went in WITHOUT my belongings and checked the bed for signs of bed bugs..well what I found was appalling! Between the mattress was not only bed bugs but also cigarette ashes! I immediately went to the office demanding my money back, the woman says she wants to see! I show her the pictures I just took, she then wanted to see in person! so I walked her to the room and lifted the mattress and showed her! She says, "There's no bugs, it's cigarette ashes!" and proceeds to pick the bed bug up and throw it in the floor! I did get my money back but They obviously have no intentions on fixing the problem, still denying they have bed bugs as we left! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

So horrible! Toilet bowl was full of rust and the bed was so dirty that I slept on top of bedding in my clothes. You'd be better off sleeping in your car (the bathroom would be cleaner).

When we arrived, the owner had a hard time finding our reservation, which we had called in and never got a email confirmation of. We had called back a few days earlier to ask they send the email again, and it did not come. He eventually was able to find it after we repeated our name half a dozen times. Apparently he struggled due to me not being able to pronounce my name "correctly." I witnessed him have the same issue with another guest and I think he just doesn't speak English very well. There were no towels in the room and a stain on the bedsheet. The door couldn't deadbolt. Doughnuts and cereal were provided for breakfast, which was nice but very minimal. Our favorite part was certainly the tarp Howard Johnson sign they had duct taped over their main entrance. Quite the experience to say the least.
