My girlfriend and I stayed here in September of this year and I enjoyed my stay a lot. The staff was great and so was room service and the room we stayed in. I'll definitely be going back!! The ocean view is a big plus.

Maybe the best location to stay in Venice. Can see the ocean from balcony if you face the sea. Rooms are spacious and well presented. Bed is comfortable. Service desk seemed a little vague but helpful and pleasant and it is LA after all. Highly recommend the rooftop views

Very cute and hip small hotel. Location was perfect for quick weekend getaway. Front desk service was friendly, prompt and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and we even had an ocean view. Next time we will stay a bit longer.

The rooftop has great views of Venice and the surrounding area. Nice vibe and location, friendly staff. Rooms were clean with a balcony/view as well. Consider an jacket if you'll staying on the roof into the night :)

Went around 12:30pm on a Saturday and had no trouble getting a table at the high lounge. Drinks were great, and the view was pretty amazing. Our server was also very helpful and was good at periodically checking in with us to see if we needed anything. It is a little pricey but that is on par for the area. Would definitely recommend reserving a spot on the west facing side of the building.

I loved the rooftop bar, my party got reservations for sunset. It was so so pleasant and gorgeous views, my only complaint was that the drinks were way overpriced. Even still, I would definitely go back. Our server was friendly and had great recommendations. I would recommend making reservations near a heater and also to get there earlier than you think.

We really enjoyed this Hotel The staff were very helpful, friendly and customer service driven. The Hotels itself is located very close to Venice beach. It is modern, clean and the rooms are quiet, spacious and well designed (apart from the bathroom vanity outside the bathroom, I didn't understand that) Anyway, the rooftop bar area is lovely. The surrounding area is not as good as Santa Monica area but it is a lovely stroll up the beach If we return to LA would would be happy to stay at this Hotel again.

We were lucky enough to vacation at the Hotel Erwin. We stayed in room 611 for a few days and had a fantastic time. The Hotel is smack in the middle of the most interesting beach community in the world. We are ‘people watchers’, and there is no better place to watch people than Venice Beach steps away from the hotel. The service at the Erwin was exceptional. The staff was always smiling and in good spirits. I could tell they liked working there. The bed was comfortable and had nice pillows. The view from our room was amazing – see pix of happy wife on balcony. (Happy wife, Happy life!) We ate at the hotel on our last day and were not disappointed. Everything was delicious. When we were leaving, we commented on the beautiful mural at the entrance and the guy we mentioned it to happened to be Erwin the owner. We learned a little more about the hotel like the fact that he was a contractor and built it himself! You could tell that there was so much love put into the building and the business. He started apologizing for the elevator being a little slow because he wanted everything to be perfect - but we could care less because everything was perfect! Thank you for a great time. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Went to High Rooftop bar for drinks with a friend. The staff is extremely friendly and the food and drinks we had were AMAZING. Highly recommend the crab dip. You get an amazing view of the ocean wherever you sit. They do fill up pretty fast so I also highly recommend making reservations well before your visit. I absolutely love this place!!

Service was top notch. Drinks are on the pricey side with $15 minimum for cocktails. Sunset view and table side heaters with blankets provided by the hotel make your experience comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating to off menu drink orders.

Great location to Venice beach main strip. This is where you want to be when coming to stay in the area. You are able to enjoy the show that Venice provides with all of the action just steps away. The hotel is amazing. The roof was closed but you did want go up there with the wind. As far as service goes it was great. Will be back to stay

We stayed for four days (my three youngsters and I). They would give it five stars. They loved the charming doormen and valets, so considerate. The hip, leopard print robe was popular. There were some celebs staying across the hall. Always activity in the lobby. The restaurant is great. I was disappointed the desk staff wasn't more responsive. I asked for chairs (missing) for our balcony and they never appeared (in four days). We always got three towels even thought there were four of us in the room. It's a bummer you have to be 21 to enjoy the roof. Little things like that. But overall a great location and well done property.

Clean. Expensive. Not so fancy. I stayed there for 5 nights and took an Ocean View room. The building doesn't really feel like a hotel and the lobby is very small. There's only one elevator that serves all rooms plus the bar on the roof so expect to spend some time waiting for the elevator specially when the bar opens afternoon. The staff are friendly and nice and room service are also good. I think you can find a better place for the same amount of money. Also, the "ocean view" is obstructed by an old building that ruins the view! The beach is completely visible but you can still see that building so yeah (see my 360° photo for better understanding). My stay was okay but I will probably not visit the same hotel again.
