I called for over 2 months with the intention of booking my wedding with this venue. They never once called me back. I emailed, left 4 voice mails with the director and not a single call back.
My fiance and I had visited the hotel months prior for a showing and we fell in love with it. I called in, money in hand ready to have the wedding of our dreams. After not hearing back for over 2 months, I had a good cry and started looking again.
It wasn't until a wedding expo that I let them know what happened did they start to call me back.
We found the perfect spot. I guess things happen for a reason. I could only imagine how negligent they would have been had we hosted our wedding there.
I used to feel at home in this hotel, frequenting the restaurant and their patio however I will no longer give them my patronage since they couldn't give me the decency to even acknowledge a hopeful and later desperate bride. Side note: we had to delay our wedding date due to this.
The views from my room were amazing, staff was friendly. Very convenient to Old Town and highway 40. My only complaint was the maid service could have been better. They clearly didn’t vacuum my room the whole 6 days I was there, one day didn’t take or refresh towels/coffee/toilet paper only made the bed. They did the basics but it could have been better.
Outstanding service! My husband and myself were visiting on our 32 wedding anniversary and the staff gave us a $30 gift card and a lovely cheese tray for our room. The food was excellent and so was the wait staff. Highly recommended!
Conveniently located within walking distance to the old town area, and it has a trolley tour that originates right there in the parking lot and is very informative. I highly recommend the trolley tour. The hotel is elegant, the rooms are clean with a nice view of the mountains. Keurigs in the rooms instead of coffee pots, no breakfast. Sidewalks to old town are wheelchair accessible. Well behaved dogs are welcome in almost all of old town shops and patio cafes, but not in the hotel.
The service was great and the location is beautiful! I was really excited to see that they had an amazing happy hour and free chips and salsa but I was really bummed with their beer selection.
I am a huge supporter of local beer and I was just a little shocked that they only had one local beer on tap. Other than that, everything was really good and our bartenders were friendly and informative.
I stayed at the hotel to attend a professional conference over a long weekend. The location is great; it's right by the I40 and adjacent to old town. There are lots of places to eat and quite a few cool art studios and shops nearby. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful, especially when I needed extra toiletries. The room was spacious and extremely well furnished. On a side note, the pillows are lovely! This is a fantastic hotel if you are planning a couple's getaway or a business trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very clean hotel, fresh sheets, towels, and comfortable room. Having a couch and a desk/chair made for a homey feel. My second time here and the experienced was matched both times, though this time the bed didn't seem as 'plush' like I remember the first time, maybe we got a room without the memory foam mattress. But not a deal breaker. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll be back.
Very nice hotel and friendly staff. The rooms were missing a few small necessities, luggage stand, counter in the bathroom etc. Nothing major and no deal breaker. Very nice hotel. **UPDATE** Watch your bill closely! Ever since checking out we noticed and disputed a restaurant charge to our bill. The amount was initially credited back to our card with the explanation "sorry, we have a lot of new staff. One week later the charge has again been placed on our card. This time when we called they said they discovered our credit card was the one used and gave us that card number (which was not our card). They gave us three more credit card numbers, which did not belong to us, then credited our card again. Beware of "extra" charges and unfair billing practices.
This is a grand old dame of hotels. It should be on a historic register. When you walk into the lobby they're very high ceilings and a classy Western. There is a beautiful Courtyard with trees and fountains where you can have lunch or dinner.
Beautiful hotel, fabulous location and wonderful people. We flew in from another time zone, arrived at 11:30 AM the day of our reservation. I told the front desk person we had been awake since 1 AM (their time) because of travel and asked if we could get in our room as soon as possible. They gave us a room at 11:35 and did not charge us for an extra day. Every one of the staff was extremely friendly and happy to be there. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
The New Mexican food restaurant, Garduno's, is amazing! It is the best one in town. Service is always amazing. Food is great and the drinks from the bar are always strong! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits Albuquerque.
I'm so impressed with this wedding venue's staff. I just worked with Chelsea at an event this past weekend. She was super nice, and respectful. But, most importantly she was very organized with every event that we did during the wedding. We double checked times for dinner, cake cutting, toasts, and other things. Everything fell right into place like a puzzle. I've been doing this long enough to see that the really good venue managers treat their team with respect and dignity from the servers to the chefs, and everyone else. She wasn't talking down to anyone like I seen from other managers, and what it does is creates a more uplifting and positive environment which in turn helps me out as a DJ.
