Great fruit and veggie selection. Outstanding variety of beer and wine. Fresh flowers at reasonable prices (pre-arranged and individual. A recently added gourmet popcorn area with lots of different varieties all made fresh in the store. Seriously one of my favorite places to shop!

This place is fantastic. Great variety, top notch market. I would love to see them push suppliers toward organic product to best serve customers to be a full five stars. In any case, this is a must see for visitors and a regular stop for locals.

I have quite a lot to say about this particular place. I once worked here for a short period of time, and I will say that it was the worst experience I would ever have. You see all these people online rating it as the best store in Battle Creek? Ha!

When I was employed I discovered that only the women are set up on register, and are done so even if they are going to go work in the garden center. Then you are given menial tasks (which I am positive was because I am a woman), like cleaning up the trash in the parking lot, when my position in the store was to take care of the gardening center (which is a whole other mess on its own-- highly disorganized and dysfunctional).

But oh, it gets worse.

One of the last few days I was there someone saw a cockroach running about on the lemons, it was swept under the rug, I can't believe they have the gall to sell produce that ROACHES run around on, you realize you're bringing the eggs home don't you? As well as this. In the back room with the seeds you can see evidence of mice or rats eating at the birdseed. This place needs a health inspector. Will not ever buy produce here again, or recommend that ANYONE works here.

Not what I expected walking in to the Market. Once in the store. All I can say is WOW. I love to cook, I was in heaven. Fresh produce you name they have it. Popcorn lovers made fresh and lot's of samples to try. In one corner of the building they have craft beer & wine you can sample & buy. Great Market.

This is one of my favorite stores in Battle Creek.
If you can't get inspired to make a new recipe just browsing through the produce section out the meat freezer, stick to the TV dinners.
Love coming here. Staff is friendly, helpful, and surprisingly funny.

The overall atmosphere is peaceful. Very easy to navigate through. They have all kinds of fruits and veggies and more. This store is our priceless jewel. Horrocks has everything other stores don't. Visit often because the selection gets better and better.

Love this place. Awesome variety of FRESH fruits and vegetables. Even stuff I have never heard of. They will even tell you how to cook it! Great beer and wine selection, too.

The one stop in Battle Creek for produce. Sometimes need to check the cheese for mold. Sushi service good, but way pricey. Wine bar is fun. Antipasto bar is great. Bottom line, if you want to go healthy or vegan you need to come here. Not squeaky clean like a Whole Foods, but it's the only place in Battle Creek where you can get any fresh fruit or vegetable at a good price.

This place doesn't try to be a supermarket and carry everything. For example if you need diapers, laundry detergent, or batteries you won't find it here--you'll need to head across the street to K-Mart. That focus is what makes Horrocks my favorite place to shop for food. You can get just the food you need, and get it so much faster. Or you grab a drink from the bar to enjoy while you shop. But you don't have to walk a quarter mile to get to the eggs and milk like you do in the big brand supermarkets.

A very cute Farmer's market style grocery store. Has a fun candy selection and lots of varied produce. Beautiful flower section and a huge fridge filled with cheese. Not a place to do not regular grocery shopping, though you can grab staple items here. They even ask 'paper or plastic'. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

It's a unique experience, you just HAVE to try. Wine & artisan beers, drink while you shop. Great beer and wine selection. Full floral services, sushi, soup bar, world cheeses, and great produce. Lots of world foods. If you love to cook, get in here.

This is my favorite grocery store. It's not the best place to get meat and dairy, but if you're looking for fresh produce it's the best place in town. They have a wide selection of beers and wines, along with a bar where you can have a taste! The gentlemen working there was very knowledgeable and let me try a few. They have some more obscure things, like canned tomatillos, too. Their soup bar is fantastic and they've added sushi now, as well. You can get salads, wraps, and sandwiches, too. They have a floral department and even some foreign confection delicacies in the check out aisles. Highly recommend!

They have a great variety of locally sourced food as well as unusual, hard to find items. Many bulk food choices and bulk bird food too! You can make fresh peanut butter and pour however much honey you want into a container. A good selection of plants, bushes, shrubs and other outdoor items. Oh and you can drink wine or beer while shopping!
