Attended for a work related event and had a wonderful evening. Staff was very helpful and accommodating, wine was delicious and food was great - not to mention the amazing scenery
Beautiful wedding venue!
This was my first time visiting Hopewell. It is a beautiful vineyard. I started with a tasting and the woman who served myself and my friend was rather rude. She was a younger woman, not the owner. She didn't tell us anything about the wines as she poured them and didn't recommend anything to us. She was happier talking to the couple next to us and treated us like we didn't need to know anything about the wines. Just followed our list and poured without saying anything. At one point she asked us to move so other people had more room. When we bought a bottle of wine to go outside, we had to ask for a food menu as well and she seemed rather bothered by that. I felt like she didn't want to deal with us from the moment we walked up to counter. She checked our IDs and made several loud comments about how we didn't look old enough or as old as our IDs stated. At a certain point, comments like that become off-putting, especially when everyone starts staring at you. When the winery was closing, this same young woman came outside and said "um we are getting ready for a private event." I guess that was our cue to leave. Not a problem, just say, "I'm sorry, we are closing, thank you for visiting." It left a bad taste in my mouth. I would visit again, just hope to deal with another employee.
Wonderful place. Had our daughters bridal shower there. It was run flawlessly. Since moving into the area it has become one of our favorite winery's. Violeta the owner is lovely as is her staff.
Very nice place to meet and enjoy food and wines.
We enjoyed our first experience here on a Friday night. They have some great local wines that you can sample. We settled on a fizzy rose wine - Bramante I think - that we can recommend. The thin crust pizza was actually really tasty too. And they had a jazz band playing that night. With the lights and the tucked away location, this seemed to hit all the right spots.
Truly my happy place. Fantastic wine music and great food. So awesome to live in the same town as hopewell Valley vineyard.
My husband and I have been visiting Hopewell Valley Vineyards for the last few years. Each trip is better than the last. We highly recommend attending an evening event - especially the Music & Merlot series. Attendees are invited into a welcoming environment of local musicians performed, brick oven pizza selections and a varying selection of Hopewell Valley Vineyards wines. A NJ classic, I would recommend their Chambourcin! Do not miss out on this local gem when visiting the area OR if you are a local and have not made it over to the Vineyard, make the time to do so now, you will not be disappointed!
A beautiful vineyard with delicious and varied wines and a very helpful and friendly staff. Can't wait to revisit and enjoy their beautiful patio and outdoor entertainment for one of their pizza nights!
