    The check-in was great.

    The room smelled bad.

    The bedding was stained.

The breakfast was meager and the food was poorly prepared.

The hotel is across the street from a very scetchy area. Out the door the locals live on the sidewalk and ask for money.

We love Homewood Suites but this was a complete nightmare. For $181 I expect better, much better.

Very nice hotel with a friendly staff and clean. The only drawback would be the large amount of transient citizens around the neighborhood. 3rd floor is currently being renovated. The offer a secure underground parking garage for an additional $10 per day

The hotel looks even better in person. Only con was that the last guest left the alarm set for super early, but I got a low enough price I think I can overlook it. Also they provide breakfast and a light dinner - the best benefit.

Steve, Erin and the rest of the staff were super nice and accommodating. The place is also super clean. Can't wait to visit again next year.

The hotel was recently renovated, so very modern and clean. The neighborhood was teeming with homeless. But Saturday morning, the park across the street cleaned up and had a fantastic Farmers market.

Great hotel, nice location, friendly staff and the food was very good. Staff was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had and even suggested a few places I should check out while I'm in town. Would recommend to friends and family visiting Salt Lake in the future.

Amazing service and hospitality, downtown, vagrancy nearby, decent food and amenities While traveling alone for business on an extended trip, i stayed in a king suite. The location of the hotel is within a few blocks of a mall and downtown. This made it easy to walk to local restaurants and bars. It is located next to a park that is frequented by homeless. Although this park turns into an amazing Farmers market every Saturday morning until 2pm. There is a homeless shelter a few blocks from here which makes the vagrancy more apparent than most part of the city. I wasn't approached. Parking was in a garage under the hotel. There was a daily fee comparable to other downtown parking. The room was quite spacious with a kitchenette, pull out couch, full fridge, and great AC; there was plenty of room for myself and enough for a couple, maybe even a small family. What wasn't provided in the room already, front desk staff was happy to provide. Breakfast was provided every morning with decent quality and variance. I stayed for 2 weeks and the spread was good enough for me to continue eating it my entire stay. Dinner was served Monday-Thursday. Mostly It consisted of a soup and salad mix with little variety. I often supplemented the "evening social" with a local restaurant. Amenities were good throughout. Laundry machines were a little expensive but a lifesaver for my long trip. Dry cleaning and send out laundry was also available. A third story balcony pool and deck was nice to hang out over the weekend and even grill out. The lobby convenience store had plenty of drinks but litte food. However the front desk would do personal grocery shopping for me if i asked. The single Ice machine was on the fritz but front desk was quick to get me any from the kitchen if i wanted it. Service and hospitality was by far the best part of my stay. The front desk staff went above and beyond to make me welcome and appreciated. Kara and Veronica put the staff of other hotels to shame. They had me calling it home by the end of my trip. The front desk anticipated my needs and even made me a to-go breakfast when they knew i was departing before food service.

Room was excellent. Spacious and well appointed for a longer stay, with stove top, full fridge and freezer, dishwasher, etc. A good selection of cold and hot food for breakfast, a fitness room, and a rooftop pool. It's easy to walk to multiple places if you aren't scared off by the massive homeless population all around the hotel. The lobby was undergoing construction so we had to take two different elevators to get to our room. Other than that, a great experience.

My stay was a big waste of money. I could have stayed in a hotel for half as much and it would have been way more enjoyable. Service was alright, but the building is awful. I highly recommend that you check to make sure there's no "new" and unexpected renovations going on. Half the building was under construction. The pool wasn't open, breakfast closes at 9am and if your one minute late like I was they will refuse to serve you.

FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY!! NOT WORTH IT WHATSOEVER.

The hotel doesn't seem to be in the greatest part of town. It's about 3 blocks away from the actual downtown section. I didn't feel comfortable walking anywhere. The hotel itself is clean. It is under renovation, so it's a bit of a maze to get from the lobby, parking garage, breakfast area and rooms. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.

Currently stuck inside stair well, love the place, food is okay. But being stuck in a stairwell with no see able exit really putts me off. if you could kindly open the exit door on floor 2 i would greatly appreciate it and raise your review to a 4. -jun 29th 2016 4:20pm

(It's a super nice place though.)

Great everything. Staff was great and so were the rooms. Only problem was the tons of homeless around the hotel. Seriously damped the experience but the staff was incredible

Vinny.Where do I start? This kind Young man went above and beyond for my little girl in a day in age when you lose hope for the younger generations he's instilled it and revived my hope. My daughter was having a rough night with some girls at a birthday party because the girls were fighting. She called me at 2 am and I went to get her. I called the front desk Vinny answered and offered to go and escort her down to the lobby as well walked her out to the car ensuring she was safe. Now many may say that is in his job description but since when did anyone actually take that above and beyond? Most people don't even do the bare minimum of their described job. Then calling to tell him thank you he was very humble and kind. Vinny if you read thisFollow your dream! You are an amazing young man. Your momma should be so proud that she raised such a gentle kind soul!
