room was nice, location is close to most used amenities and staff was friendly - only thing I didn't like was that there isn't even water in the mini fridge or lobby your only option is coffee.

Went there for a wedding. The hall was very big and spacious. There were more than 24 large round tables, nobody squished together and with plenty of room to walk around. Nice dance floor and two bars. Food was really good and beer pleasant atmosphere. Best wedding reception I've ever been to probably.

Before this review I'm giving, I would have rated them five stars. Received an email that my card had been charged by the hotel, and I had not even checked in. Called and front desk manager tells me under new management since September of last year, they charge room rate and fifty bucks incidental fee I'm advance of check in. I told her it would have been nice to know this ahead of time and that I have been a guest there over the last three years and never had this happen. She came off as unconcerned and a little crass, so I cancelled my reservation. I feel when you have loyal and repeat customers, a little common decency and respect is in order, and I understand policy is policy, but shouldn't there be something in place where they let their customers who use their establish often know of changes like this? I may or may not stay there again, but we will see.

The room we stayed for three nights was a spacious suite, with a living room/kitchen area upon entering the room. The sofa wasn't a sleep sofa, but it's leather, and it worked well for relaxing to watch TV. The refrigerator worked nicely to store left-over food from eating out. The sink was not inside the bathroom with bathtub and toilet, so this arrangement allowed us to work effectively and efficiently in getting ready to attend our family function. The breakfast offered included scrambled eggs, sausages, omelet, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, assorted muffins, cereal, milk, yogurt, mixed fruit (not everyday). Staff and maids were warm and smiley. It's a feel-good place!

Very nice, very clean and updated. One of the best Holiday Inn's I've stayed at and I travel for work, so I've seen a lot of them. Happy hour is very nice as well.

Customer service was terrible. I just tried to call to make reservations for an upcoming wedding, and was rudely "greeted". She never gave me her name however, she put me on hold for a while, and when she got back to me she sounded very frustrated. When I gave her the dates I realized I wasn't being specific enough and apologized. She sighed loudly, gave me the price and I said I might call back as the higher price wasn't expected. She laughed as if I wasted her time.
I understand the job is stressful, but taking it out on someone trying to make a reservation is very unprofessional.

We arrived late, but someone was at the desk when we arrived, only took a minute to receive our room key. Room was exactly what we wanted. Breakfast the next morning had plenty of choices for both my wife and I.

I checked into Value Place, Mentor several times in the last few months. Very much impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and friendly and well-trained staff. Adrian at the front desk is quick and efficient. She is a word class professional, yet approachable. Michael , the custodian keeps the hallways super clean.
