The lodge is a perfect place to get away for a few days in the winter. It's romantic and quiet. The holiday decorations are up and it is so beautiful.

Very nice amenities but the staff seems clueless about the tourist activities of the area. For example they knew very little about the wine shuttles and the Vans are parked in the parking lot! They also didn't know if the bikes sitting out front were complimentary with the rooms or an extra charge. The site utself was clean and well appointed. We ate at the restaurant. The menu choices were a bit on the pricey side but the hamburgers we got we delicious.

We have been here for breakfast and love it. They are in a great location on the lake with a lot to do nearby. The breakfast buffet is well priced and has a large variety.

Best place to stay! Clean, neat and stocked rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. The best setting you could ask for in the area!

Worst service ever. We waited about an hour for a table for two of us and when they called us to our table, there was a ton of empty clean tables. We had no idea why we waited that long for a table. Then, when we got our food, our side dishes were cold. The server never came back to check on us and she was not personable at all. We will not be back. Over priced food and awful service. We spent two hours here for an awful experience. We do not recommend the restaurant here at all.

Came for a night to celebrate our anniversary. The room was nice and we were given the second floor that we asked. Was a bit surprised by the number of kids here though. At times, both pools were crawling with them and parents who probably have never taught their kids how to be respectful around others. Thankfully we only stayed a day. If you have a family, then by all means come here, but if you are just hoping to relax poolside with your partner, pick another place more suitable for that.

Amazing food, the deserts were super yummy. Lots to choose from. I didn't stay overnight just went up there for lunch with my family for Mother's Day. Went outside to see the lake. Very beautiful. I recommend to everyone.

We stayed at a cabin, this was our first time in one of the cabins and it was very nice. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a nice sitting area. Granite countertops, And a pull-out couch that we didn't use so we couldn't vouch that we didn't use so we couldn't vouch for. Overall I would recommend it.

The room and the view were beautiful. The restaurant had a wonderful breakfast and dinner menu, and the desk staff amd bar staff were all very accommodating. There were many worthwhile amenities available including bike rentals, multiple pools and hot tubs, and even a few kids areas. Great for one night or a few nights.

Don't expect a refund if you cancel your room.

I booked a room with the lodge for a friend's wedding. A few weeks later, I made alternative arrangements and decided to cancel my room. I called and asked to cancel, which was a fairly straight forward process. The credit card I used to pay the deposit was cancelled in between booking and cancelling the room, so I was told I would be issued a check for the amount of the deposit, which would take approximately 8-12 weeks to arrive. Not ideal, but it's the price I pay for cancelling the credit card. That was in September 2016

It is now mid-March 2017 and I have YET to receive my check. I have called multiple times, even speaking directly with the accounting department, and each time being told there "was a mix-up" and my check "would be sent out in a week or so". I recently filed a report with the Better Business Bureau, which I'm hoping will motivate someone at the lodge to finish the job. It's a beautiful resort and the staff was very accommodating and friendly while we were there; but this almost ruins the entire experience.

This place is great for a weekend getaway and to experience the local wineries. The staff is always amazing friendly and helpful, and the restaurant on site serves better-than-average hotel fare. The grounds and surrounding area on the coast of Lake Erie are scenic and relaxing. We especially love the wine shuttle as it gives us an opportunity to visit four wineries without having to worry about driving!
