Typically love Holiday Inn Express but this was my worst experience in one yet. Actual trash behind furniture and on the floor. Piles of dust, hadn't been cleaned properly in months at least. Keep driving.

Front desk associates were nice. However for the price I paid for the room, I expected a lot nicer amenities. It didn't have a fridge which was inconvenient, bathroom was not clean there was still hair in the floor, and the wall outlets were busted up and broken which is very unsafe and hazardous! I forgot some of my belongings including cosmetics in the restroom, called to see if housekeeping returned them & of course they said they were not seen! My makeup Was very expensive, being dishonest gets you no where! I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room and staff were nice. The only complaint is the beds are a little small and they don't recycle. Otherwise it's a nice place to stay.

Holiday Inn Express is our go-to while on tour and this location meets expectations and then some; this particular one is in a perfect location off 64 and 77. This location is in downtown Charleston, which seems like a fun, safe place I had never previously visited; hotel also featured free parking which is seemingly rare at downtown hotel locations. We had a quick and easy late check in by a super friendly staff member who accommodated a last minute change in room type. I really like HIE’s with designs and color schemes as this one; some of the newer ones make me feel like I’m boarding the Starship Enterprise. Room was extremely clean and comfy; great bedding, perfect water pressure, and excessive amounts of hot water. Love hotels that give you 4 full size pillows per bed – and this location offered 2 firm and 2 soft which is a rare treat. Breakfast was top notch and featured every continental breakfast item ever available – and all varieties of juice were in good working order! We loved this hotel; great staff and good location. Can’t wait to come back. A+

Stayed here for 1 night in early January. Just a pleasant stay from start to finish. The check-in process was quick and painless, which was much appreciated after a long drive through WV. Comfortable bed, big desk, delicious breakfast. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Hope to be back in Charleston soon, and I'll know where I'll be staying.

The interior was pretty, and the staff were great. For what we paid we should have had a fridge and hot water. There was a huge hole in the bathroom wall where an access panel should have been and no stopper for the tub. At $145 a night we expected the basics. Next year we'll stay somewhat else.

Our client Nick Dittmeier is a traveling musician who really enjoyed his stay here after performing in Charleston. The room was perfect, and the staff was very friendly - especially since the check in was so late! It was really great that the hotel was close to the town center mall and there was a free breakfast in the morning, which made for a great start to a long day on the road!

This was a nice hotel right in downtown Charleston, WV. It's clean and accessible to everything in the city. The staff was very helpful and checked us right in. The wifi worked great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There were plenty of places to eat nearby. The parking lot was large and well lit and we got a good parking spot to load in. There was a microwave and fridge in the room and all of the carpet was new and modern. This would be a good hotel whether you're traveling through for business or with a family.

The staff at this holiday in are amazing and compassionate. They treat their guests as family and truly care how each visit has been. They also care about the well being and comfort of each guest. I felt as though they were my family. Benny and James in the buffet area, Dan and the front desk personnel, and housekeeping staff were all amazing. Management was very courteous and professional. Just an all amazing experience.

Job! Nothing is ever empty.HE keeps EVERYTHING full at all times.Very cheerful and friendly to all.We rate him a 10 plus. Morning check out staff couldn't be nicer. Very nice visit. When we are in area will stay with you.

Customer service was excellent, from checking in/out. The staff keeping pace while eating breakfast was excellent as well. I've always had good experiences with Holiday Inn stays so I suppose I'll be booking with them from here on out. :-)

The service was great. I teetered between 2 and 3 stars though because our room smelled so strongly of mildew that it was hard to take. It might be a regional thing that I'm unaware of, but they need to invest in dehumidifiers if that's the case. Other than that, the sheets had little balled up thread patches that made them uncomfortable. The people were the best thing about the hotel.

Rooms were priced well. They did fill up fast. One thing to note is they do not have a pool. Look at another hotel if you need a pool. Breakfast was decent and very busy later in the morning.

Rooms are fairly large, a little dated but the beds are comfortable. They offer free cookies all day, standard breakfast and I believe free happy hour on select weekdays. Would stay here again when in town.

My family and I were traveling through and decided to stop at this Holiday Inn Express and we were more than pleased. My girls loved their free cookies, our room was very clean and looked updated. They had a crib and what appeared to be a brand new blanket for my youngest. The beds were very nice and soft with labels as to firm or soft pillows, and the room was well insulated, we couldn't hear others outside our room. The gentleman that was in charge of the continental breakfast was amazing. He took such pride in his job, and communicated with all the guess around him. He also helped throw guest trash away, brought children including my own a cookie after they finish eating. I've never seen someone in charge of the breakfast line so kind and caring and full of life. Thank you for the pleasant experience even though it was very short.

The beds are very comfortable and bathroom spacious. The hallways had a bad odor I couldn't place, the breakfast eggs were cold and had a weird texture (still ate them). Everything was clean and the sheets did NOT smell like Clorox! The outlets in the lamp weren't standard size so we couldn't charge our phones in them but the wall outlets worked fine and there was one beside the bed.

We arrived after midnight and were welcomed with a friendly staff. The room was clean and had plenty of towels (one of my pet peeves is two double beds and two towels). Breakfast was great and again a super friendly morning staff!!

Rooms are spacious and comfortable but they are starting to look a bit worn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was a bit annoyed that room service interrupted my conference call when I had specifically requested a later checkout and had the do not disturb sign on my door.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Staff were genuine and courteous--good recommendations and anticipation of our needs. Our room was clean, new, and comfortable. Parking was ample and easy to access. Breakfast was very good. We used the shuttle to return to the hotel after a walk to the capitol. It was on time and service was top notch. One curiosity--a chilly welcome to our room. In July, our thermostat was set to 57º and we had only shorts and t-shirts. It warmed up eventually.
