  Really bad place to go if you need a name change. Don't waste your time if you see a lady with reddish hair working there. Was told I needed my marriage license even though it is on my social security card. So went back with a copy and got a different lady who was about to accept it but then decided to ask redhead if the copy was good enough. Of course it wasn't because obviously redhead was on a power trip. Will not be going back there. Hire professional people! !!

  We were in and out very quickly. Courteous and friendly staff, I would definitely recommend this branch if you're in a rush.

  I know you might this is coming from a kid who failed his drivers test but first time i went there for my test i was 2 minutes late and they cancelled on me. The second time I actually took my drivers test and she said i did everything thing perfect but she failed me because I switched lanes early.

  Yes, they light the rings on fire and ask us to jump through them, but come on people, they work for the government and they have to have all of the i's dotted and the t's crossed to protect you and I from fraud. They are not at liberty to decipher whether or not we are being honest that we bought a little old lady's car from her or from her neighbor who stole the title. There are checks and balances in place that make them seem like they are just messing with us.
  I have never had a bad experience with the Hobart BWV. I have had to come back after fixing paperwork, but it was wrong to begin with. Don't go there or try to call during peak hours. That's just insanity on your part.

  Great customer service quick taking out people all times I've been there never stayed more then 20 minutes inside, less maybe 4 minutes the go to place in and out

  Have to give credit where credit is due, the BMV has really improved their customer service. I remember the days when you'd have to wait in that place for hours!(at least at the Merrillville branch where I first got my license) Now as soon as you walk through the door they're ready to help you.
