Price was more than fair for amenities. Pool area is great. Arcade is cute, fitness center was sufficient. The breakfast routine is pretty cool, even though the cook is average at best. The food sits and gets cold, but it's much better hot. Go at 6:30. Dinner is not reflective of breakfast at all. Staff is drab. They think a lot of themselves. Not management though, they are very nice. It's a great value, all in all!

Clean rooms. Good food. Nice pool and atrium area. Banquet room is good for parties and weddings. Staff if very friendly and helpful. Good people.

This was a very interesting hotel with a wonderful staff. My stay was handled very well. Dinner was good and the common area was very open for gathering. The fitness room was wonderful, free weights at a hotel isn't real common Nicely done

This place has absolutely everything you will need starting with a very centralized location near town near the lakes etc. our room was clean and comfortable and had many many amenities. The food at the in-house ( Timbers) restaurant/lounge was excellent. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful and made us feel right at home.
And all of the above in my opinion came at a very reasonable price

Location is convenient and easy to find. Rooms are clean and large enough to comfortably accommodate my family of 2 adults and 6 children. The decor has been recently updated and the earth tone color scheme flows throughout the entire hotel. The indoor pool side rooms include their own individual patio space complete with patio furniture. The open floor plan complete is complete with sky lights and game room, providing a fun family atmosphere. I recommend the pool side rooms if available but I have also stayed in other rooms, while the walk to the pool is obviously further away the rooms are just as clean and comfortable and the fun family atmosphere spills down every hallway.

I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and have tried all their rooms. This has a unique layout as the majority of the rooms face inward. The beds may need an upgrade soon, some rooms have worse mattresses than others, but they are always clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good, pool is fun, shuffle board, game room, workout room are all ok. Plenty of lounge area.

All in all is a good place to stay but future upgrades to furniture and beds will make it top notch.

When we first arrived, the clerk tried to bill us at a 94% tax rate. The room itself had a window into the hallway, and the curtains did not block out the light outside our door. The "king" bed was two twin beds pushed together, which was unexpected, but it was still a comfortable place to sleep. One elevator did not have working lights on the buttons/arrows. When we went to pay in the morning, the day clerk billed us at the appropriate amount. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, but I wouldn't actively avoid it either.

Great Hotel with great management Patricia and Crystal are great at what they do really appreciate their hospitality that they extend to our family.
The servers are wonderful and the food in The Timbers is great.

I can't begin to express how satisfied I was with this place. I stayed for one night. I was working in the area and just needed a beer and to relax. I walked in and they got me in ASAP. My room was very clean with a nice TV and one of the nicest bathrooms I've seen at a hotel in awhile. I went to Rothers Pub down stairs for dinner! WOW! The food was extraordinary! The waiter/bartender Dean did an excellent job. He gave me his recommendation on a beer and it was the best beer I had ever had! So good I stayed and had a few. He even had 4 guys walk in 10 minutes before the kitchen closed so he went to the kitchen and had them stay open longer so those guys could eat! You don't find that kind of service much anymore! I will definatly be staying here when I'm in the area for work. This is again another great experience I have had with a Best Western hotel. I actually signed up for their rewards program because of how satisfied I am with the hotels. I always look for a Best Western no matter where I'm at.

The beds suck. I asked for a room close to an exit so I could go outside to smoke. She put me in the middle of of a hallway as far as possible from an exit. Every website I can find advertises this room $30 cheaper than I paid. This is my third bad experience here. I've learned my lesson. Next time I'm in town, I'll spend a little more for better service and a comfortable bed. At $120 a night, I'm staying in a $70 room. Don't stay at this hotel

Love the location in regards to where we needed to be and the fact that we are in the IN time zone and so is our playing venue. Front desk was not friendly when checking in and when I called that evening to schedule a wake up call we never got it, unacceptable! Also seems that anyone especially BW reward members would get as many breakfast coupons as the number of occupants in the room, yet you only get 2 and we always have 3 with our daughter, definitely not worth paying $7 for another coupon. Lastly we paid more to have 2 queen beds and a ground floor courtyard room with a patio yet the neighboring room took our patio chairs and were up all hours of the night even after I called the front desk to complain. Show some courtesy for your neighbors and follow the rules for 10pm quiet time please and those rules should be enforced immediately if not followed! The beds are comfortable and it's convenient but I would love to see improvement in the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff! Crystal who is the Manager was great upon hearing about my issues and I have no doubt that when we return we will see results.

We stayed here for about a week and it was OK. The staff was nice and responsive when we had issues. The pool was small, but usable. I really didn't like the heavy humid air in the stairwells that had a weird smell to it. I also couldn't shake the feeling that everything was unclean. However, the price was reasonable and it seemed like one of the better places to stay in La Porte.
