Great place! Great, clean and nicely maintained rooms. They are moderately affordable and have anything you would want for a nice ski trip. Overall, a great place to stay in Big Bear.

Such a cute, clean, and awesome place! Had everything we needed. The owner Ken was super friendly and helpful. It was the little things that made this place so great..to even having our names welcomed on a board before checking-in..Will DEFINITELY be back and would reccomened it to anyone(:

Our family has been going to Hillcrest Lodge at least once a year and we always have an absolutely wonderful stay. Ken and Val are always so kind and eager to help in any way possible. The cabins range from cozy to quite spacious, and they're all great. I highly recommend Hillcrest if you're looking for somewhere comfortable, clean, and in a convenient location at Big Bear.

Ken and Val are great. Super nice and accommodating. The rooms have a small kitchen and sitting room and the area is fantastic to walk around during the evening with a brewery across the street and a market for grocery items a 2 minute walk away.

We stayed here this weekend and had a great time. The hosts were very friendly and helpful to first time Big Bear visitors (they even gave us coupons for daytime activities). The cottage we stayed in had a very home-like, true Big Bear feel and was also very convenient. Not only was the lodge conveniently located but the efforts of the hosts to make the stay easier we're obvious as well. The fireplace had firewood and lighters all set up, they had dishes and pots ready to go, and even a sleep sound machine! To top everything off, we brought our Roku stick along for the trip and accidentally left it there. The morning after we left, the owners called us to get our address so they could ship it back to us personally. We are more than pleased with this place!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED staying here in late March of 2016. We stayed in cabin 4 for 2 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The room was recently remodeled and beautiful. We arrived a few hours before check-in and it was no problem (which we appreciated after a long drive)! We had mentioned on the phone when booking that it was our 10 year wedding anniversary and when we arrived at our cabin there was a little bag of goodies and a card congratulating us. So thoughtful!! Our German Shepard, Husky, Rottweiler mix loved all of the trails that were near by and all that there was to do. The fact that this place is pet-friendly made all the difference. We also loved that we could borrow movies from the front office to watch during the evenings. This place had amazing customer service and hospitality and we will definitely be back!
