We checked in quite late and while all the info was helpful we just wanted to sleep for a bit before we had to get up and pregame the game. Tailgating at it's finest. In any event the room itself was decent the views into Canada were nice. I enjoyed my stay in Detroit and would not mind returning. The valet situation left much to be desired as I waited in the back for far too long before my car could be parked. Next time I may stay closer to the stadium. Over all cheers.

We were really excited to stay here, thinking that "Crowne Plaza" meant really high quality. Honestly, we've stayed in a lot of hotels and this one was not up to par. The 2 positives were location (close to Woodward and Campus Martius) and the great river view (cool windows!). Otherwise, the rooms were small, bathroom even smaller, and it felt old already. A lot of the furniture was very scuffed up. We are local metro Detroiters, so it was just a night out and not vacation, but I would have been disappointed if I was an out of town guest. We've stayed at the Marriott properties downtown and have always had good experiences, by comparison. Also, there was a leak in the roof by the elevator with a bucket, and at night, the wait for the elevator was about 5 minutes. Someone told us that fire fighters were on scene due to one of the elevators stuck with passengers. And with the $30 valet parking fee to boot, it just didn't feel like we got our money's worth. At check-in, the woman who helped us did not smile once. And it wasn't like we asked any questions or even had a problem. Just a regular check in. So overall, just disappointed.

Stayed here for my birthday and had a beautiful room. It was clean, well furnished, and the wifi was better than expected. Staff inside the building was friendly and helpful, but there were some issues with the valet. It seems they had trouble finding the car and I ended up waiting about 45 minutes, though that wasn't a big deal to me. The room I was waiting in was very comfortable. Nice areas to walk around with places to see. All in all a lovely experience.

I had the best customer service while staying at this property than Ive had in a very long time. Every representative at the hotel was extremely nice. They tried to help with any issue that came about. Its a older property but still a great place to stay. Great Customer Service.

Our room had a great view! Staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and housekeeping does a wonderful job. The bathroom was small and didn't have a air vent which was a nuisance but we pushed through. Comfy beds and pillows! We went to a play at the Fox Theatre it was a pleasure to come out walk to the street and hop in a cab! The ride was short and affordable. O would defintely recommend this hotel and stay here again! Thanks to the Crowne Plaza we had an amazing stay in the Motor City!

The hotel was in a great location. The people mover was just a short distance from the entrance. But we were charged for 2 nights when we only stayed one. I called the hotel they had to check with their accounting department. They refused to return my calls after the initial call. I would never stay again.

Nice view, good room. I didn't spend much time in the hotel, as I was attending a nearby event, but the staff was friendly. The room could have been a bit cleaner, I noticed a very small stain on the comforter, but I'm not one to make waves. The building does feel a bit old, but the room itself was modern.

Nice room. Decent views. Nice location. Parking should be included with the room. I don't like not having access to my car unless I get a valet to bring it down, & take it back up, just to get my sunglasses. The elevators aren't clear on how to get to the parking garage which is a different floor from the lobby.

We came into town for a concert and chose the Crowne Plaza for our overnight stay. It was located close to the concert venue and the price wasn't outrageous. When we arrived, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They checked us in rather quickly and we were able to go to our room a little earlier than normal check in time. The room was a double, with two full sized beds. It was comfortable and offered a really great view of the Ambassador Bridge and surrounding area. The bathroom was decent, with the only complaint being the low placement of the shower head. But, that was no big deal. The room offered plenty of outlets to charge phones, a coffee maker, nice closet, and comfortable beds. All in all, a pleasant experience that we would be happy to repeat!

Great location in Detroit, upon checking in I was given a free room upgrade and placed on the highest floor! For another $9 I had a voucher for the breakfast buffet at the Jefferson House and it was excellent. A variety of food and everything as delicious. Valet charged me for one day ($25) despite being there a day and a half. The stay was a success all around.

I would highly not recommend this hotel to book for a business event. I was planning on renting their ballroom. I was quoted one price by an employee and requested a contract with the list of prices for everything included. It took a month and a half to finally get a contract. They ended up firing the original employee we worked with. When I wanted to make changes to the contract I was told it was too late to make changes. I contacted the general manager and he never called me back. The only person that was helpful was Mrs. Jackson the front desk manager. This was an absolute waste of our time. I am very disappointed in this company and will never give them my business due to poor customer service.

The location of the hotel to the Cobo center is almost literally a hop skip and a jump, and close to so many other restaurants and bars. The room that I stayed in was very clean, nice, and there wasn't much noise from the surrounding rooms. I can tell you that the hotel was PACKED because of the last Red Wings game, and the day after Tigers opening day. The line to check in was extremely long, probably took at least 30 minutes just to check in, but not necessarily the staff's fault. If there was a way to check in early, or use a mobile app to check in, I'm sure things would've went faster, but I'm not going to give them a 1 or 2 star rating just because I had to wait a little bit. It was understandable, though hopefully they make adjustments in the future. There is a bar in the lobby, and the bartenders are pretty quick on orders. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would stay here again.

Nice place, easy location for overnight stay corresponding with a concert at Joe Louis Arena..small bathrooms, I mean tiny. As a 6'1" 275 lbs male, the bathroom did not accommodate my size.. oh, and only valet parking available for this downtown hotel, a nice surprise until the 25 dollar valet fee..and your car is parked in an overnight parking garage..no access to it unless to have the valet bring it around. Overall I would give this hotel 4 stars out of 5.

We choose this location partial based on how close it was too the venue for a concert. We rented an executive king suite, which was lovely with great views of the city and waterfront like promised. The only thing notable wrong with the room was that the headboard was pealing, otherwise the room was spacious, clean, and very bright. I only give a four star rating because of the pricing of the breakfast buffet. Though it was included in our room rental, if it had not been cost sixteen dollars a person and did not have many options for this price point. Over all our stay was wonderful and we'll definitely look into staying again.
