Amazing place. Such a convenient location! The staff was amazing! Especially Will at the front desk! We will be back for sure.

Great experience overall! We stayed one night in a king room, the room was soooooo big. There was a really nice couch that turned out to be a pull out! Bathroom was also very spacious with updated amenities, super clean. Check in and out very simple. Parking overnight at the hotel is 28$. It was a little pricier than expected but did not have any other complaints!

Last time I was there , was the beginning of the fall season. great time to enjoy the immunities they have to offer. Spas treatments. Sana ,hair, Massage, Movies at The Renaissance center . all around great time

Went for wings & lions games! Travel to both was very easy with people mover station right in the hotel. The entire staff, from the valet,front desk, maids and breakfast staff were all so friendly and personable very professional and made my stay so wonderful!!! Rooms were exactly as pictured. I travel for work a lot My stay was the best I've ever had anywhere anytime. Keep in mind this was Thanksgiving weekend so the volume of customers was very high everyone was taken care of extremely quickly and everyone was catered to personally Stay here its a no brainner!!! if I could give more stars I would

Overall, decent hotel. The main rooms were remodeled and looked nice. However, the tub did not look in as good of shape. The bathroom sink had a leak and there were brown drops on the floor Gross! Bathroom nobs/switches we're kind of gross too (my boyfriend didn't think they were too too bad though so def different opinions). They're working on remodeling the entrance area and looks like it will be nice. Employees were nice / friendly so no complaints there.

This hotel needs some serious updates. It has a weird smell in the hall ways and the rooms are out dated. I booked my room on priceline and it listed it at a 4 star hotelthis is far from a 4 star hotel. I don't care that its downtown and in Detroit, its old and run down. The only decent thing was its in a good location. I did the express deal and got it for $100/night and this hotel as it stands right now until they upgrade is maybe worth $55-70/night and I saw online they are trying to charge guest 300 or more a night for this hotel. CRAZY! I have stayed in a Quality inn nicer than this hotel. Valet was slow when bringing the cars back as well. Will only stay here again when they upgrade the whole thing. The other thing is that you cant put the thermostat below 68 degrees!! So annoying because it got hot in the room.

Nice room and location for the price. The bar/restaurant is like a ghost area. No one was around. I waited so long just needing a water that I ended up helping myself with the bar tap. If you want coffee, walk down to the Roasting Plant or Ashe Supply.

Very very bad service, horrible breakfast. Unfriendly staff, had to wait one and a half hours at 1am in the night for a booking we made. Overall a horrible experience.

The hotel room was beautiful, large, and most importantly clean. The staff was friendly. However I rated this 4 instead of 5 stars for the following 3 reasons: (1) the light in the bathroom flickered and sometimes didn't turn on. Once it came on we ended up leaving it on rather than risk it not coming on again during our stay; (2) the toilet seat didn't fit the bowl quite right or was loose and would shift off the bowl, leaving the rim exposed when someone sat downGross; and (3) the staff was not knowledgeable about taxi service to the hotel and instead tried to push a private car service on us. Specifically, I asked the desk staff if taxis typically came to the hotel in the morning or if we would have to call down to get a taxi to the airport. The woman working the desk said that she didn't know but that the hotel recommends using a private car service. She then gave me a card for an expensive private car, and wrote her name on the back. All I wanted was a taxi. In a big city like Detroit I expect the hotel staff to be able to provide direction regarding taking a taxi to the airport. When we left in the morning, there were indeed several taxis lined up at the corner. Bottom line- nice hotel, but in - room maintaince needs attention, and hotel staff members need training/education.

The room was spacious with a great view but it was dirty Other people's hair in the bathroom and the windows had greasy hand prints. And the water pressure in the shower was pitiful Like showering in a water fountain. On a positive note The breakfast was good. They have a cook station for omelets which was delicious.

The rooms are very classy and the hotel itself is beautiful. Even for being in Downtown Detroit, my room was quiet and peaceful no matter what time of the day. Even with a floor full of Michigan football hopefuls staying on the same floor. The staff was helpful and courteous. The only downside was having to choose between valet parking for an extra $20 per day, or taking my chances on a parking garage one block west of the hotel for $20 overnight. I chose the latter of the two options, but if you want to valet just pull in and stop on the Jefferson Street side. The valets are pretty easy going. One downside is that you are not within a close walking distance to much of anything. Personally, I am a pretty fit guy and well built - so I took my chances and walked almost 20 minutes through town several times during different parts of the day. I had no issues getting around whatsoever. The coffee was pretty good during the morning when I left, I will say that. Made my drive home much easier to do with a good tasting coffee in hand, free of charge. Overall, I will probably always go back to this Courtyard. Definitely was worth the money.

The Courtyard is right on the people mover, which is great for getting to the Joe Lewis Arena. The rooms are very spacious. It's nice to have a couch to relax on. Every the was friendly and the service was great. We'd stay her again on our next trip to Detroit.

I used the Marriott app to check in ahead of arrival. There was some sort of error and I hadn't actually checked in. The front desk staff was helpful and apologetic. They got my room ready as well as handled my special requests in fair time. The beds were firm and comfortable. The rooms were accommodating and featured a mini fridge and a safe. There is a convenient store attached to the hotel that sells liquor, snacks, and critical amenities that one might forget at home when traveling. There is also on site access to the downtown people mover. Our room package included a breakfast buffet. They offered hand made omelettes, Belgian waffles, and Continental style items. The hotel was fully booked the night I stayed and the staff seemed to handle the work load fairly well. If I wanted to go back and stay in Detroit overnight again I would prefer to go back to this hotel.

I have stayed at the Courtyard-DD many times as a competitive alternative to the nearby Marriott. The property is new and nice and all rooms give interesting views of the river or surrounding buildings. The exercise area, pool, and especially the locker room with sauna and steam room are particularly nice due to being shared with an adjoining condo building. But as nice as the facilities are, I remain disappointed that top-tier Marriott guests do not have a complimentary breakfast option, and I have occasionally been disappointed with slight fall downs with maintenance, housekeeping, or front desk guest services. Naturally all complaints are dealt with, eventually, but the dedication to rapid and faultless service is not at the level I am accustom to.
