5 of us had hamburgers and all of them tasted like someone dumped the whole bottle of salt in them. I was disappointed after hearing such great reviews.
Taken my family there for lunch as a birthday present to my sister few years back. It was a pleasant environment, service was great food was even better. must try their Ruben sandwiches. We all walked out happy and full.
Had the Shepherd's Pie, delicious. Wife got the Irish Meatloaf, it was good. Waitress was Korenna, she was very friendly. Will come back.
I was super excited to finally get out, as a mother of four and a bar manager/tender til wee hours of the morning, i have a particular standard of service excellence! So, never been to Hennessey's before and likely won't return😕 we walked in pub side and sat. Not super busy. Meanwhile 3 staff members held up end of bar. We sat for about 5 min, I got up and walked to other side, to no avail. My friend went to bar side and servers walked away from him. We were not greeted in any way. Finally when gal did acknowledge us, it surely was an inconvenience that we wanted food and drinks, huh..pub/restaurant?!
She left and came back and we were asked if we knew what we wanted. I informed her we had never been there before, she stated the kitchen closed in 5 minutes, at 9pm?! what? Seriously, on a sat night, after we've sat and waited! We chose to leave and in parking lot watched 2 servers we saw holding up the bar go outside to smoke! Thanks for the shittiest service I have had in a long time. Sad that I did not get to have an enjoyable Irish pub experience!👎
Great place. The gouda cheese sticks are awesome. Outstanding.
Great food and beer! My husband had the shepherds pie that was amazing!! I loved the different beers on tap and they had a good kids menu as well. Loved the atmosphere and they had live entertainment as well. This was walking distance from the Holiday Inn so it made having a couple beers and walking back a no brainer. Great service and really good food!
Hennessey's Irish pub proved an excellent place for food and beverage during Bike Time. It was walking distance from the chaos of Thunder road, and separate rooms for bar and band or a quieter dining area. The food was good and some respite from all the heat and noise. I'll go back for the charm and a whiskey when I return to Muskegon.
We enjoyed a Great corned beef and cabbage and pot pie. They have happy hour specials too. The menu also includes burgers and other yummy items. Check them out!
Great atmosphere, music, and great food & drinks. Overall great experience!
First time there last night. It was horrible. Ordered 2 sandwiches, one was a burger med rare/rare. 35 mins later we got our order. Well done burger and burnt bread on the other sandwich. Tried to talk to the manager and he was not available! Spent $37 for 2 beers and 2 sandwiches. Will never go there again.
Good food and good drink. The bartender was fantastic. We had gone for the movie trivia night. Friends were less impressed with their food, but I really enjoyed the drunk Irishman burger.
I went here for a late lunch a couple times and had drunken Irishman sliders which were amazing. However, the three times I have been here when it's been dinner and busy, they have struggled. The server staff is slow and the food comes out slower. We got sat by the hostess and it took 15 min for us to even get noticed by our server and that was with us asking another server for help. By the time they took our order and we were waiting for our food, the manager walked by and gave us our bill. We hadn't even had our food yet, they were just THAT slow.. I would suggest going mid afternoon and sitting at the bar if you want good service. The food is worth it.
My boyfriend and I came in after some shopping for a couple beers and some dinner. We were very pleased with their menu and the healthy choices they had to offer. We chose the vegetable stir fry with smoked salmon and the cajun chicken and absolutely loved both dishes! Will definitely come again!
