Last Sunday Night 10/15, My 14 year old Pom started vomiting white mucus foam. I called Healing Springs, spoke to Dr.Dow told her Molly was vomiting many times and choking. She said to give her a Benadryl , I told her there was no way I could get a pill down her and it was serious, I was pulling the mucus out of here mouth from choking on it.. She said she was getting ready to leave and it would be $100 to see her. I did not care . I brought her down and she gave Molly a anti-nausea shot. We both thought it was a digestive issue. Dr.Dow noticed Molly had a heart murmur. I was really concerned. She said they make a medication it is really expensive. She asked if Molly acted weak in playing or coughing at night and I said no. She stated that Molly seemed better, referring to the shot she gave her. Molly was walking.  I pursued the information on the murmur, she said an x-ray would show the size of heart., she  would need to get another person in for that, looked up the price of the heart medication and also thought I could wait till Molly was more symptomatic . I paid $126. Molly did not breath right and I had to carry her to bed. All night not right or comfortable . I called the next morning upset as Molly was still not breathing right, not eating or drinking and was not comfortable . I brought her in and saw Heather Jenkins, Molly vomited in the car the whole ride. She vomited on the examination table also. Heather said Molly is no longer  on their  GI dog food and I explained that they had changed brands so I now buy the Hills Science GI on Amazon, she looked disgusted. I thought Molly vomiting was more important. I said to her it seems to be a digestive issue , she said no as there is no bile in it from her stomach. I told her  Dr.Dow and I thought it was. I asked her why Molly was vomiting white mucus foam then, she was feeling Molly's neck and remarked that Molly had a swollen Lymph Node. I assumed that was my answer to my question about mucus. I was crying, very upset over my dog. I asked her to keep  Molly to find out what was going on. She  said I could leave here and she would start with a blood panel. No empathy at all from her. Good bunch. Fair fees and good care. No question about your animal's health or comment about your animal's health is considered out of line and is always answered intelligently. Great place.

Healing Springs has been caring for all of our animals, big and small, for 23 years. Never a bad experience. We even received a card when our dog, Baby, passed away. I recommend them to all of my friends and family.

Visited a day ahead to get our dog registered for boarding & was given paperwork to complete and bring back. The next day we returned with it completed and were told to wait until the data was entered in the computer making us 10 minutes late for an appointment. Very unorganized and unpleasant ladies at front desk. Policies were quoted differently. Did not give our dog the bath promised on website even though we paid for the two days.

I took my son's cat to Healing Springs yesterday to get a booster shot. The receptionist was incredibly warm and friendly--which, at the end of a stressful day of teaching high school, is extremely appreciated. Heather Jenkins, who gave the shot and checked my son's cat over, was very patient, kind, and gentle with him. She took the time to explain a health issue to me that he was having, and recommended an over-the-counter remedy for him. The icing on top was how little time we had to wait in the waiting area before being seen by the vet. Perhaps on a different day, they might be busier and, consequently, the wait longer, but yesterday, it was pretty wonderful!

Love this office, they have always been very professional and taken good care of my dogs. Most recently it was time to let one of my pets go and they were very understanding, got me right in and gave me time to grieve alone with my dog. I really like that they have late hours on Tues and Thurs as it is difficult for me to get in during regular work hours.

I have a chihuahua that was stung by a bee on her face. She was vomiting, sneezing and her face and throat were swelling. I called Healing Springs because they were the closest vet. We go out of town to a vet ( because I had the same issue last time I used healing springs) but this was an emergency. First the receptionist said she couldn't find my name, then she couldn't find the dogs name and her attitude was rude. I do know both of our names to be correct. Then we needed to verify rabies shots I certainly did not them have when I rushed out the door but it was all said as if the receptionist was trying to refuse treatment. It was handled with a horrible attitude, with no welcome or assurance of treatment at all.
My furry best friend is fine and those that treated her were great but I'm not sure if they have horrible business administration that makes the job difficult at front desk or they continually hire people with bad attitudes who don't deal well with the public.
This is a Hospital for the loved ones of other humans.knowing how to treat people is the job of a front desk.
My review of Healing Springs, ONLY IN EMERGENCIES!!!!
It's the people that love their pets that keep you in business.
