Mildew ring in toilet, a/c quit in the middle of the night, hallways smell funny, decor is extremely dated, the entire place is in desperate need of a deep clean.

THIS ROOM WAS 92$ PLUS YOU HAD TO PUT DOWN A 20$ DEPOSIR REFUNDED IF SOMEONE XAME TO CHECK AND MAKE SURE YOUR ROOM WAS NOT DAMAGED. THIS HOTEL IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY ASKING. OUR ROOM WAS HORRIBLE HAD HOLE IN WALL CARPET TEIM COMING UP. THE FRIDGE AND MICROWAVE DIRTY. WALLS WERE JUST DIRTY WITH SPOTS LIME MUD AND DIRT. THE COMFORTER ON THE BED WAS TORE. THE NIGHT STAND HAD NO DRAWERS JUST SPOTS WHERE THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN. THE LAMP SHADE WAS TORE AND RAGGED AND THE AIR CONDITIONING HEAT UNIT LOOKED LIME IT WOULD FALL OFF THE WALL ANY MINUTE. THE WHOLE HALL SMELLED OF MARIJUANA ALL NIGHT AND IT WAS VERY STRONG . WHEN CHEXKE OUT THE NEXT MORNING EARLY AT 5 AM I SPOKE TO THE FRONT DESK ABOUT MY CONCERNS AND IMMEDIATELY WAS TOLD I COULD NOT GET A REFUND WHICH I HADNT EVEN ASKED FOR. MANAGER NEVER TRIED TO CALL OR SPEAK TO ME ABOUT CONCERNS AND I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD BE GIVING MANAGER THE MESSAGE. SO IF YOU TREAT YOUR GUEST THIS WAY I SEE WHY KNOW YOUR HOTEL IS MANAGED POORLY. I WILL POSTING PICS AS WELL. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE

Clean place and friendly staff. All the things in the room worked (tv,remote, fridge, microwave,ac). The only complaint is there was no "do not disturb" door hanger to use. Thus one morning a staff member opened the door without knocking as they didn't think someone was in there. Overall, I think it's a decent place to stay, and would stay there again.

A little tired furnishings-wise, bed, but quiet with helpful, friendly staff. Overpriced by about 10-15 percent.

Uncomfortable beds, people living in rooms have young kids that run and scream up and down halls all day and evening, continental breakfast is a joke.

In my experience, this is strictly a place to conduct drug deals and bang hookers. The whole place smelled like various types of narcotics. Everything in the room was cheaper than basic training barracks. Bed was downright musty. Im surprised they dont offer an hourly rate. Not surprised theres never any cars in the parking lot. I dont know how this place has stayed open so long. Maybe they take a cut of the drug traffic?

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. There were 4 children running wild for hours in the parking lot and hallways. Then, at 12:30 am, the smoke alarm began to beep because the battery was low. The clerk had to come in and because there was no ladder, she had to drag the dresser to the center of the room in order to reach the alarm. Then, at 2:30 am, there was a terrible fight in the room above me with furniture being thrown and Lord knows what else. Oh, did I mention that the front lobby was filled with mattresses and box springs!!! The coffee; however was good.

Rooms were nice but the unattended children knocking on random doors upset my stay.

My husband and I along with my 22 month old daughter were on the road headed to Atlanta when we got into a car accident. We had to take an ambulance to the hospital, once we were discharged from the hospital we actually had to stay in Monroe because we are from Augusta and someone had to pick us up in the morning. By the time we checked into the hotel is was close to 1am. The lady at the front was friendly, we told her our story (just small talk) and told her we needed a room for one night, we were tired and our car was totaled from a hit and run with an 18 wheeler. We got our room and the tv didnt workwhich was fine but I still called the front desk bc I had my little one with me so we needed something to keep her quiet. She came to the room, checked the tv and said she would move us into another room. Her and my husband left and I stayed behind to grab my daughter and some of the bags. I walk out of the room and the lady tells me that our new room is right across the hall.a Jacuzzi suite. My husband told her that this wasn't necessary but she said it's fine and "you all have been through a lot tonight and I'm just doing this out of the kindness of my heart" We thanked her and my husband gave her a monetary tip. She told us to have a good night and left. Long story shortwe wake up in the morning and was told by the manager that we have to pay $90 extra for the room. We told her that the lady from the night shift gave us this room, we assumed that it was the only room available so we took it, we didn't ask for it and she didn't mention that it would be $90 extra. Needless to say the manager was mad and called the police on us! She spoke to her employee who lied on us and took her word for it. I thought the customer was always right?! How dare you call the police on a paying customerI initially paid $103 for a room that's not even worth $50 and then they get an additional $90 from us! Just like I told the police, we aren't on vacation! This isn't our honeymoon so we sure wouldn't stop in Monroe Ga to get a Jacuzzi room with a toddler! I do believe that the lady was trying to be nice BUT when her boss saw that she didn't charge us she flipped the story just to save her butt. Never again would I ever stay at this hotel.

Stayed in the king jacuzzi smoking suite. Nice enough room, could be great with some maintenance. The jets in the jacuzzi didn't work, and the bed could do with more pillows, really.

What $82 (after taxes and fees) will get you: a retro experience! Relive the 1970s with all original furniture and fixtures. Beds harder than stone! Walls so thin, you won't miss one moment of anger or passion that your neighbors are having! Nor they yours! A real community experience! Their wall mounted A/Cs may not cool much but are guaranteed to be noisy enough to wake the dead. TVs smaller than your exes junk (or at the very least, what he claimed). Holes and stains in the furniture and floor that makes you glad you don't travel with a black light (sometimes ignorance is bliss). Speaking of lights, assured that at least half of the lights work! And make sure you grab a prepackaged muffin or packet of oatmeal at the continental breakfast bar! OK, sarcasm aside, the real redeeming qualities was the friendly staff at the desk and the free Wi-Fi that was surprisingly quick (I'm not talking about 1kMbs, but still, way quicker than I expected). Otherwise I'd avoid this place like the plague.
