As much as we love the fresh produce, living next to a Harward field has been problematic. Because they use black plastic but have not properly disposed of it, we now have streams of black plastic caught up high in the trees in our neighborhood. (This is a windy area in Spanish Fork.) It's been a week since my first call to Mr. Harward; and the second call I was told "Climb up a ladder and get it yourself." Many have already done so, but that should not be our neighborhood's job. Please take better care of your fields!
Great produce, straight from the farm. Their pumpkin patch in the fall is really cute. Hay rides for the kids, a pumpkin tower, petting zoo, what's not to love?
Very moldy hay. Seems like they bale their hay wet. Every bale I've purchased has been moldy. They will not refund your money. Wish I could give 0 stars but since the minimum I can give is 1, it will be for their produce at their stands. I've personally never bought their produce but know people who have and have tried it.
They have the best onions!
Love the prices of the produce and the fact that they're locally grown. The corn is good too. However, I'm very disappointed that I was lied to by the person running one of the stands. I wanted him to pull back the corn husks of the corn I was buying to make sure I didn't get any that were mostly worm eaten and the man assured me that they were all checked. I shouldn't have believed him because none of the husks looked like they'd been pealed back but I did, and ended up with an ear of corn mostly bad and two others that were partially eaten by worms. I don't like being lied to, and I felt like I was conned. How hard would it have been to pull back the husks for me to check them or let me do it. Better than giving a paying customer a bad product and losing business as a result. Also, the jars of jams and salsa are way over priced.
Awesome products - I love fresh produce straight from the farms. Thanks to Harward farms we have a lot less produced food in our diet. And it tastes delicious.
We really love Jaker's Pumpkin Patch, and we go there every year.
They have delicious fruit and vegetables, I've never been disappointed!
I love the fresh produce Harward Farms offers every year. We've always been treated very well at any of their stands. The peaches, corn, cantaloupe, tomatoes, raspberries. well everything we have purchased is delicious! Thank YOU for providing wonderful fresh, food!
I bought corn and tomatoes from one of there stands and LOVED them. The tomato was one of the best ones I have had in awhile and all their produce was reasonably priced. I was expecting to pay more for locally grown and was very surprised. The lady was friendly and the selection was good.
We will never ever do business with Harward Farms again We bought bales from them a few months ago and upon opening a few of them up we found several of them to contain large amounts of manure. So we separated the bales that were contaminated to return them and we arranged for the return over the phone. We went to go return the 8 bales and also pick up an additional 45 bales of mixed alfalfa and grass hay. As we loaded the trailer we separated the bales that were clearly moldy and ruined, setting them aside to retrieve and load the bales that looked clean and high quality. Our horses will not eat ruined hay, so I do not want to purchase ruined hay. (Like in the grocery store you don't pay for the moldy apples to feed to your family just because they are on top. It's a waste of money when no one eats them, Same principle). We had previously arranged for Judd the owner to come look at the manure contaminated bales we had purchased before this trip. Judd and I opened one of the bales up together to find BIG SURPRISE!! more manure, he tried to accused me of somehow putting manure into the sealed unopened bale, I asked him how that was even possible and that it seemed like a lot of work to return 8 bales that I could have just fed my horse and that his accusations just didn't make sense.. Then out of nowhere he just lost it, but not at me, he walked around the trailer and started screaming at my sweet neighbor calling her a Stupid B**** and telling her that it was bull Sh** that we would want to sort the gross moldy bales from the clean ones and so forth. As I tried to speak calmly to him and placate him a little bit he lit into her even harder and louder using EXTREMELY vulgar and offensive language. It was so strange that whenever he spoke directly with myself or my friend Chris as we tried to calm him, his tone of voice and volume and language was in control, but then with zero provocation, but in front of all of us, would verbally assault my neighbor yelling and screaming profanity and insults. It was like whenever he was addressing a man, he could control his temper, but would fly off the handle towards my totally uninvolved female neighbor. We tried for several minutes to deflate him as he was 2" off my neighbors nose screaming profanity and insults. Finally I was able to convince him to leave the area to retrieve my refund for the contaminated bales. He came back with the money, handed it to me and apologized. I told him it wasn't me he owed the apology and that he needed to apologize to my neighbor who was nearly in tears. He walked over to her and said, "Sorry I shouldn't have yelled. There, that oughta do it" and walked away. My neighbor, fighting back tears understandably did not respond, then he turned back in a rage again and yelled "You know what! If you cannot accept my apology then I don't ever want to see you here again." Needless to say, He will never see us and hopefully anyone we ever know or talk to ever again. What a shameful and despicable way to treat any human being, especially a lady who is your customer. Judd the owner is an extremely verbally abusive misogynistic hothead. I will never purchase from Harward Farms EVER AGAIN. Absolutely despicable.
