  When I have to make a casual stop, or am shopping for a regular list, I go to Harvey's. The staff is friendly and always smiling and are also helpful.

  This place is fine to get your groceries. My personal just like about it is the cleans everywhere I look about how great the pricing is when it's not very good at all. I also noticed something that surprisingly didn't bother me in the least and that is the checkout reminded me of 1980! Yes, things are scanned as any typical grocery store today. Simply enough, the design of the area reminded me of when I was a teenager.

  Prices could be better when it comes to the meats there. Other than that pretty reasonable. Store is clean, some of the staff is friendly.

  So the watermelons were priced at $3.50. Got it to the register and rings up as $8. Nope. The girl calls the manager, the manager goes and looks, says that only the small ones are $3.50 and the big ones simply aren't marked but I can have it for $5. Irritating on a clearly marked melon, but okay.
  Overnight, it bursts, making a river or watermelon juice in my kitchen. I was going to carve it up, but it's slimy on the inside and foaming. I google exploding watermelons. "Watermelons can split is because of bacterial infections inside the watermelon. Like many fruits, watermelon are susceptible to certain decay organisms and wild yeast. When this happens, it can lead to a fermentation process inside the watermelon. Pressure can build inside, causing the watermelon to split and erupt like a volcano or to foam uncontrollably."
  I call the store to let them know that the watermelon I bought yesterday exploded. I called 4 times before someone answered the phone. Evidently, I'm at fault for letting the watermelon get too hot in my climate controlled kitchen overnight. 3 stars, because he did, grudgingly, agree to replace the $5 watermelon that was marked $2.50. But only 3 stars because this entire thing was a fiasco and if I'm at fault here, it's for shopping at Harvey's.

  Love this place but they need more cashiers then just 2 working all day. Lines always get backed up to the point your standing in line for about 30 mins.

  Most of the staff are very nice. Their produce selection is poor but their prices are the best for grocery stores in ridgeland.
