Neat place, but easy to miss. I was taking pictures out front when one of the men who worked there came to me and invited me to take a tour. That wasn't my plan, but he was helpful and friendly and I'm glad I took him up on his offer. Definitely enjoyed it.

This is a stop that won't take you long to see but is such an important part of our history. The home is restored and furnished with antiques of the time period. Be sure to check their hours before you plan your stop.

Nice little home site, not really a whole lot to see. President Truman only lived here as an infant, so it's not really much about him. Truman's house in Independence would be more about him. But this little house is interesting to see the way of life back in the late 19th century.

Really enjoyed my tour of the Truman birthplace home. It's a very small house, but they do a good job of covering Truman's early history and depicting what life in small-town Western Missouri was like at the time. The home and visitor center sit across the street from one-another, and the whole site is very pleasant.
