So I came to see one of my favorite ballet’s “The Nutcracker” I am from Spain and came to visit only for a couple days anywho little did I know coming a little late would result in me not seeing the play at all. I am very devastated and sad of the poor costumer survice the two ladies in the front who were checking everyone I’m displayed to me. Very closed minded and ignorant I tried explaining to them and they laughed at me I was surely humiliated. I hope they don’t treat everyone like that because it was truely a shame. I grew up knowing there’s always another way but their mindset wasn’t equivalent. The reason I am complicating is imagine I was the president walking in he would get immigrate access because of his position. We should all be treated in equality no matter what our position or appearance. Need new management; great atmosphere.

I really like this space. You enter at street level where the ticket windows are, and the orchestra level is actually down a few stories. There aren't any awful seats. A lot of it is terraced, so you don't have to worry about tall people blacking your view, etc. Drinks for sale in the lobby before the show and you can take it to your seat. The ushers were very friendly.

What a surreal experience in this place.
I got five minutes late for a concert, my fault. Before purchising the ticket, I asked if the concert started. They say, no worry it just started, I could actually hear announcements. Rushed really fast to the door and they did not let me in. They stated it would take 30 minutes and in the meanwhile I could watch the concert being projected on a screen, while they were dragging chairs and such. They cashed the money, with no regards for whether or not they could provide a service. When I finally made it inside I was too pissed to enjoy the concert. The structure is wonderful but it needs new management.

This is a pretty nice theater, I attended several Chicago Ideas Week events here and the sight lines are pretty good. There are a lot of stairs that are hard concrete, and the elevators are somewhat limited. Street level is above the upper balcony level, and the main floor seating is three levels down. Restrooms seemed somewhat small for the size of the venue. Seats were a good width but the armrests are very awkward, too high to be comfortable (I am about 5'6") and if you bring your elbows into your sides, the armrest is hard and presses into your upper arm.

Beautiful theater. It's underground, so you enter at the ground level lobby, then go down one or two levels to get to your seats.

Liked the shen-yun show. Seating was a little uncomfy. Alcohol shouldnt be allowed in while watching the shows.

We saw the Russian State Ballet perform Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake here and it was magical. The theater (which is actually underground) is large but not so much that I would worry about not being able to see the show. The establishment is not grandiose like some theaters, but it is certainly classy and the staff is professional. The lighting and sound are optimal (though I was disappointed that the ballet did not feature a live orchestra). I recommend buying tickets well in advance as it is a very popular venue.
