My wonderful father passed away on February 7th. We chose Colonial from a recommendation from a family member. We went in the next day after my dad passed and met with Chris, he is the most amazing compassionate and caring man, he took his time with us and made sure we knew everything we needed to know. My aunt and I had an odd request, if that we would be able to cut my dads hair one last time (we both being hair stylists) and they more than happily agreed to our request. My dad had been in the hospital the past month and with a breathing tube he had some noticeable marks on his face, they really made him look wonderful with out looking "made-up" . They truly did an amazing job with every detail, and treated us with amazing respect. I greatly appreciate everything they did to honor my dads memory.

My mother recently passed away and we had her wake services held at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry Il. We never imagined a wake could be as beautiful as hers was. The attention to detail by Bob, Maggie, and all the staff was amazing. Our mom had been bed sick and bedridden for some time. What a gift for our last memory to see her looking so beautiful as she did before she fell ill. Their attention to detail was amazing. The facilities were gorgeous and the staff were very kind and courteous. I would highly recommend using Colonial Funeral home in the unfortunate event of planning a funeral for your loved one. Carol

Such lovely people. Maggie helped us mostly and was so kind and helpful. They made my mother-in-law look like herself. They paid such strict attention to detail and made us feel so well cared for. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
