Great place to go if you enjoy gambling and great food! They also have several gift shops there, clothing, jewelry, spa, bars, music and entertainment venue is essence lounge for more local acts and a main stage event center for major music acts and performances that are on tour. There is a connected hotel on the premises with 1,008 rooms. Outside walking bridge areas with flowing river water underneath.
If you have reward credits and want the convenience of eating on site at the buffet then that is fine. I wouldn't spend your own money on it though. There are no decent places to eat in Cherokee. I've tried multiple places. You have to go to Bryson City or Silva. At the buffet the fried trout was overcooked and curled up on itself. Because of the hurricanes the oysters were not from Florida. But they didn't get them from Louisiana or Texas like we do in Florida when the bays are closed. They came from South Korea. I tasted one and it was nasty. The smoked salmon was decent. The shrimp and mussels were passable. The desserts were probably the best part.
So I've been twice now and it is an interesting place. I'm not really into gambling so I like to watch other people. Some look absolutely miserable just sitting lifelessly at the slot machines. Others are having a lot of fun whether they win or lose. We have eaten there and it has been ok, about what you would expect from a food court. The casino is clean and the staff is helpful. Recommended if you are in the area and do not have a gambling problem.
Good stop! 💎 💎 💎 🎰 Had a great time! Love the table games and the wife loves the slots! We had a long weekend and it was very fun! We will be coming back as soon as possible! Food is good - rooms are good A+ Recommended for all! 🎰 💎 💎 💎 and we loved being right on the strip next to the action. Easy access and nonstop fun.
We booked online through Harrah's website. When we paid for a PREMIEM spot.. When we arrived, we were told nothing we put in the reservation came through and "it didn't matter." All rooms are the same, no difference in pricing (even though we paid more?). Ex: We asked for NO SMOKING, and they were going to put us in a smoking room. Rooms are OK, not as nice as Vegas hotel rooms. Nice buffet, except no high end meats (served flank steak).. Great bowling alley, Nice Italian Res (Brio).
They don't explain the games to you. So you walk around feeling like your just feeding your money into a machine with flashing lights. I went 15 years ago and it still hasn't changed since then. I want be going back. Been to shows and blew money and had a great time. This wasn't even fun.
This was my first visit to a casino. It was an interesting experience. The first floor is loud and crowded with slot machines and people. There is a food court as well as free drinks while you are gambling. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was fun to play but I strongly suggest you bring a pre-determined amount for gambling. I can see how people get into trouble. My Dad won $6.00 playing the nickel machines. He lost it all too. You have to either have good self control or strong limits to keep from "trying just one more time." The place was clean and well lit but I didn't like having to go through the smoking section to get to the non-smoking section, food court and restrooms.
The staff was nice, and the welcome gift of $50 for the slots was a great surprise.
Finding one's way around is extremely confusing, they have no Texas Hold 'Em machines, and worst of all, their on-site food prices are outrageous. No way in hell I'm paying $27.95/person for a buffet. I'm vegetarian, so there's no way I could eat that much. And that doesn't include a drink, plus tax. They need to cut that price in half, and have it include a beverage.
It's not just a casino. It's a place for fun. There are many shops you can visit, different restaurants to eat at, live music, karaoke, table games, slot machines and a huge hotel. Most of the employees are sociable and have excellent people skills. Neither myself or my family members drink alcohol but the prices for drinks are posted and they are extremely expensive. The slot machines could be a little "looser" so they pay off if your only betting the minimum bet. I would recommend this business to others looking for a fun time.
The Buffet here was great. I will go back for that for sure. The place is beautiful. The staff are friendly. the security is a little strict so if you have kids they are not allowed anywhere near the casino section. They have tons of slots and the poker room is great. They have digital craps and Roulette, which I really like. The candy shop is great as well.
Very good, had a lot of fun.
Thank you so much,l have to stay home a lot,and coming here get out of the house.
I have to get a scooter when I came up here, I just hate it that it cost so much to get it.
Because I'm 70 years old,and I need one every time I come.
I would love for it to be cheaper so I can play longer.
The money I say I could put in the machine.
Are charge by the hour.
Are if I had more to play with so l fill like my money worth for what I paid for it the chair.
$50.00 is to high.
Fairly large casino. Rooms were sold out for online booking of a last minute trip decision. Stayed Saturday overnight, 2 miles away. The Buffet had a good selection of foods. No promotion available to join or for existing Total Reward members. The slots and tables were tight in my opinion. Not too many folks were walking away with any winnings that I could see. No complementary drinks for gamers except water. I left earlier than I expected. Would I visit again? Maybe, on a day other than Saturday and I would plan ahead so I could stay at Harrah's.
You are playing with a machine that is programmed to take money. If you were given better odds it would at least be fun. only people gambling are people hoping to hit for at least a chance to play their games but it is an expensive loss opportunity with no hopes and little joy. Because you clearly see that you play well and if you were home playing the random chances would be different. Reason casinos will not remain in the future. Making people happy at winning at least a third of their money back would guarantee returnees. No free drinks..cigarette smoke even in non smoking areauncomfortable chairs next to other people.kept trying to figure outwhere do I put my purse(in my lap).and making it ice cold insideput clocks upmake it a fun natural place to at least throw your money away. (I had a thousand to lose but would have loved doing it .if I had a least kept..not just hoping every hand that if I have 4 of the right cards for 4 times that the fifth time I would get five right cards for a little big win.
No joke of the house is a winner.always. Last time here was at least 5 years ago. I could have put my money in a fireone bill at a time..and at least got warmth for a couple of seconds for each bill and seen before my very eyes that I was burning the moneybut got some joy from being warm each and every time. That at least is hope and joy.Warmth each time.knowing i am getting warm each time if only for a moment. Losing every hand.every handyou see before you a winning hand to lose every hand.the.joke is on me.
It's always crowded here, people playing games and enjoying their time. There are few nice restaurants here including a buffet that offers really nice selection of food options to choose from. For example on Sundays it's a seafood buffet. The casino is of course open 24/7 and beverages are served all the time. There are concerts hosted here oftentimes and ticket KIOSK are available to purchase tickets right away.
