The room was nice & clean. The bathroom was immaculate, maybe the cleanest hotel bathroom I have ever seen. The breakfast was plentiful & tasty. The staff was all smiles & very kind. My daughters were pleased with the pool & thought it was clean. All these are not enough to bring me back. I was unimpressed with the mattress. As new and modern as this hotel seemed to be, the mattress was reminiscent of the cheap mattresses you find on a hotel from 20 years ago. My biggest complaint was the noise from the footsteps in the room above us. I do not think they were stomping, yet I was still able to track their movements back and forth across their room all night. The construction of the hotel made these steps BOOM with each footfall. My review should not reflect on any staff or service within the hotel, just on Hampton's choices for construction & furnishing their rooms.

We recently stayed at this location for a youth hockey tournament. Over night Wausau got 5ish inches of snow. Can I tell you how shocked and impressed I was when we woke up at 6:30am to see all the cars in the parking lot were brushed off?!?! The hotel staff was very pleasant, rooms clean and comfortable but it's a details like this that gets me to write a review. Thank you!

New building, very nice, but sometimes disorganized staff, and a superior continental breakfast. Biggest complaint is that it can be loud because of the location and guests use the rear patio to smoke at all hours of the night.

Super friendly employees at the front desk. Breakfast as usual is included. Although here you will get a smile from the staff in the morning! The rooms are fine and clean. There are a couple of restaurant close by the hotel. Although shopping places are close by it. Five stars for it.

Recently renovated property that already had outstanding service making it even better. Excellent open floor plan in the lobby now makes for a comfortable relaxed feel. All new beds , TV, and bathrooms make it a great in room sleep experience. I highly recommend staying at this property.

This place is not very well set up for the handicapped. We won't stay here again because of this. Everything else was very nice. The people working here are great.

This might be the best hotel stay I've every had. Really nice modern rooms with super comfortable beds. Awesome amenities and the best hotel continental breakfast I've ever had. After this I'm only staying Hampton Inn!

Stayed at this hotel for the better part of 2 months while working in our Wausau Branch. The staff, particularly Kurt and Mary, were really fantastic to work with and went out of their way to make sure everything was great! Hotel and amenities were on par with Hampton, but the staff (desk, breakfast and housekeeping) really set them apart!

The rooms were a bit dated, but they are currently remodeling, so that should help there. I would not recommend the turkey sausage when having breakfast, but the rest of the food was good and, again, on par with other Hampton Inns.

All in all I would go back there any time and would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the Wausau area.

Nice hotel. Rooms are clean and attractive. They have a Wisconsin theme going on here which is cool. Nice staff. Breakfast was really good for a free breakfast. I would book again next time i am in the area.
