Amenities are great.. shuttle, breakfasts. Room is fine, a bit dusty though and phone doesn't work. Only major gripe is the 40 degree freeze in the hallways. Oh, and the pool is way too cold to utilize. Nice people and close enough to Tampa General Hospital for those coming in for health issues.
The location was perfect and very close to the venue we were attending downtown. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind with anything we needed. The rooms also were extremely clean and very comfortable as well. I was very please with our entire stay.
We went to The Castle for an event on a Saturday night. The Hampton Inn is within walking distance of The Castle. Parking and check in was prompt. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a 24 hour coffee bar right next to the check-in desk. It was nice to come down to the lobby and get coffee anytime I wanted. We stayed in a room that had one queen bed and CityView. The room was pretty clean. The walls are thin so you can hear people on either side of you. I like how secure the hotel is that you have to have a key to get on the elevator, pool, or fitness center. The bed was comfortable not too hard or soft. The pool looks inviting on a hot summer day. The breakfast was pretty good except for the eggs. I made a waffle and had sausage and coffee with it. When in Ybor City we will stay here again.
A friend and I stayed at the Hampton Inn/Ybor city last week before cruise from Tampa. I chose this location due to its proximity to the port. It was a great choice! The hotel is older but was in excellent condition. Our room appeared to be recently remodeled. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was in excellent condition. The hotel's staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The shuttle drivers were excellent. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast and also offers coffee service all day plus cookies and flavored water in the afternoon. There is a nice, clean pool and gym facilities. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Great location near Ybor nightlife and food. The shuttle service is awesome (hi Tony!) and the hospitality was excellent. We had a corner room with a view of the trolley station and the Florida Brewing Co building on the other. There was a train that came through in the middle of the night - didn't bother me, but it woke the Missus. The AC was a little loud, but it worked beautifully. Definitely coming back the next time we cruise.
The only reason it did. It get a one is because I stayed in worst places as a teenager at the beach. Clientele was less than desirable. Location is low income. Hotel is low rent at s very high price. Rented a suite with king and they gave me a double. When I went to complain they said they had no king rooms. I told them that I would want my money back and book somewhere else. They found a king room.
Our stay was at Ybor City Florida, room 332 during hurricane Irma for shelter because we had to evacuate from our home with two Kitty's. Room was excellent very clean and people that work here very respectful. Morning breakfast was awesome and very professional. One personal at front desk should not have been working the front desk but other than that very professional and personal and pleasant stay. Would highly recommend to stay here.
Excellent experience! The hotel staff are helpful and friendly, especially Jasmine upon check-in! The room was clean and no issues we needed to call maintenance for which is rare... we usually have bad luck! This was our first time staying here and we will definitely come back again! We used the hotel shuttle both nights to go out then took an uber back to the hotel as it was after hours for the shuttle when we returned. The shuttle driver, Martel was awesome! He was friendly, helpful and gave us great info about the area as he drove us to our destination. He also gave us some safety tips as we ventured out for the evening. Thanks for helping make my hubby's birthday weekend extra special!
The hotel is very clean and the staff is fantastic. The parking lot is very tight and there are limited spots, which makes you think twice before leaving. If you decide not to leave, you are in walking distance from restaurants and bars so you aren't out of lucl
Clean, modern room and a friendly staff! The shuttle service was an added bonus. Historic Ybor is a really cool area and staying at the Hampton put me only a few minutes walking distance from good food and drinks. I will stay here on my next trip!
Great hotel. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, and one of the best continental breakfasts I've had. Situated right near Ybor, very secure building as well. Definitely recommend!

If you want to stay in an extremely clean hotel this is the one. If you want staff that goes out of their way to be helpful, friendly, kind and have happy and fun like attitudes and still remain professional this is it. Cynthia was the most helpful while we were there and she always had a sincere smile everytime we went by the desk, always open to conversation and making sure our stay there was satisfactory and if she could do anything to make it better. The beds were extremely comfortable and I have a bad back, rooms were so clean and comfortable. If you need a free shuttle ride to get you around town within 3 miles of the hotel, they have their own shuttle so they are there so conveniently at the front door. I stayed at this Hampton because I had surgery scheduled at Tampa General Hospital and the hospital was fairly close, only 2 miles or so and we love Hampton Inns. We took a cab the morning of only because I had to be at the hospital by 8:00 A.M. and the shuttle starts their job at 8:00 A.M., but we called the shuttle from the hospital and they came to pick us up later. All was very convenient. We will definitely stay there again because we will be returning to Tampa in a few months. Loved our stay and the free breakfast was extra good, plenty to fill you up. One lady working in the breakfast area noticed that I was trying to get orange juice out of the juice machine and the machine was empty only because I was late coming down to breakfast, they do shut it down after a certain time you know, my bad. Well as soon as I sat down with my daughter and husband to begin eating the wonderful breakfast which I just did get there in time to get the last of the good stuff, the lady brought over a glass of orange juice for me, she didn't have to do that, now that is the kindness we experienced
