Hotel was clean and room was spacious. The hotel staff was awesome. Really nice and inviting really. Nothing bad to say about the place. I did not observe the pool area but the members of my family that did had nothing negative to say about it. I would stay here again.
Stayed here over a long weekend to enjoy the wineries in the area. Cleaning staff was top notch, making the room look very nice. The amenities are great: spacious rooms and updated decor. The staff was adequate.
The staff is friendly. The breakfast was tasty especially the western omelette. Bed was ok. Pillows were fluffy and comfortable. Shower was hot. I'll be back.
The good: our room was clean and had a great view of the lake on the 4th floor! The staff were friendly and personable, and there was always fresh coffee available in the lobby. We even had a balcony in our room! One of the nicest Hampton Inns I’ve stayed in.
The not so good: the air in the room was incredibly dry — we woke up with dry, scratchy throats each morning. The beds/pillows felt comfortable when first getting into bed, but in the morning, my neck thought otherwise; the pillows are down and the beds are very soft, which a lot of people do like, but personally I’m not a fan.
Overall we had a nice stay!
The best way to book a room at this hotel is through the Hilton Honors app. This hotel has better and worse room offerings. The north view of the water is nice if you can overlook the ugly roof of the strip mall directly to the north. The southern view is nice too as it overlooks an upscale condominium complex.
The rooms are well kept with some minor maintenance items lacking. Upper floors are quieter and have better views. Breakfast is standard Hampton Inn with no extras and a nice sitting/dining area. One additional hot breakfast item would help improve this offering. Some rooms have a mini fridg./microwave but cost more. Also, from experience, peak season Friday and Saturday rates are almost double. Keep checking the rates as they can change from day to day or with a weather forecast.
The staff is friendly and helpful so don't be afraid to ask for something to be made right if necessary. The pool is nice but the exercise room is small and lacking with only two cardio machines. We stay at this hotel every time we visit Petoskey and have stayed in every type of room and on every floor. Being picky now, we wish the furniture was better looking than the natural pine wood they chose to furnish with.
Clean. Staff was great. Was disappointed that there was not a mini fridge or microwave in the room. Breakfast area is nice.
Cute. Not renovated like most of them and no mini fridge or microwave in the room. Most people probably dony care about that but there it is. North facing rooms have a view of the lake Not close but nice.
I can literally FEEL the vibrations of people walking outside my room and upstairs on the floor above me. Brought ear plugs just in case I could hear people outside of my room because I know I'm light sleeper but those don't even help.
The hotel is nice, room is nice, but if I can't even sleep due to people walking around then what's the point?!
Nice staff, clean room and comfortable bed. Complementary breakfast was average, but good. Good location. Only complaint no refrigerator in room.
Great place to stay for an extended weekend visit. Interior was updated and very nice. Employees were respectful. The location was right on for the area. It did require a car to get to locations. I would not recommend riding a bike to get to restaurants and attractions from this location.
Great hotel and location. Really clean. Mattress looked brand new. Breakfast was great.
Nice clean hotel with excellent staff and reasonable prices I enjoyed my stay
Walked in without a reservation and was able to get a room for $100. The room was very clean and had a great view. The front desk associates were very friendly and accommodating.
