I so wanted to just chalk this up as another local place but the bar tender/owner went above and beyond even when giving him a hard time (in a jokingly way). Can’t wait to come back to such an instant hit.

Food, drink and service are all fairly average. Good enough that I'll keep going for an easy dinner or a couple drinks but with tempered expectations.

This is a good neighborhood pub. Good drink selection, better than average pub food. I see a lot of complaints about service bring slow but I've been a few times and they've been good.

Staff is awesome, quick for service and looking to make a conversation. Close to home for me so a great place to unwind at the end of the work day, so grwat to have that irish pub feel so close to home keep up thw good work guys

Recently moved to the area and conveniently enough Halligan's is a quick walk from my place. Have been there 2x already since moving in. Great atmosphere, food, service! I will be going there frequently.

Usually really enjoy the place but tonight. 12/26/16 the bar tender was a complete a$#hole. Horrible slow service took 15 minutes before he came over. And didn't even take our order. We waited another 10 minutes before he came back and still didn't take our drink order. I hope he gets a new job soon.

Four of us went over this past weekend and sat in the back bar area. It was our first time there. Service was immediate and friendly, food was absolutely delicious and portions generous - all of us took home leftovers. We had shepherd's pie and braised short ribs - all fantastic and we loved our dishes. Our drinks were large and for once, compared to most other bars, we could actually taste there was liquor in them but not so much that it ruined the drink. I can't speak for any other poor review, as this was our first time, but we will definitely be back based on our visit.

I've been a few times now and the service is just sub par. The bartender(s) just seem to be in another place.. The first time at the bar on a quiet Thursday evening i sat with a friend for nearly 15 minuets before anyone even said hello, when i ask what was tap the other bartender tossed me a beer menu, seemed odd not to explain all the beers they offered. The Ruben i got was soggy and took 45 minuets.
Maybe 6 months later on my second visit the service was about the same, people behind the bar noticed me and the two people i was with but we waited another 10 minuets while he finished messing with the TV. The food was noticeably better this trip.
My last trip was by far the most frustrating, i give up on this place.
Its to bad the service stinks so much as this place is in a great location, looks great and has pretty good pub food.response / report this review
