Great golf course. Consistently the best course in Gainesville, tougher to get on but find a buddy who is a member. Definitely worth it, layout is beautiful and it's nice to walk as well. Total walk is just shy of 8 miles.
Kind of short. Greens were nice though! Shot makers course!
Venue carpet is full of tape and wavy, and there is no cleaning included so be prepared to sweep, wipe, scrub, and walk the property @ night for debris and trash. Exhausted and told just to remove anything we brought into venue.. NOT true. Look @ the contract before you sign.
The food presentation is good. The staff are very attentive and the restaurant has a beautiful view to the golf course.
Amazing remodel with breaktaking, panoramic views of 1st and 18th holes. Attentive staff! Member benefits! Cool vibe. Worth the tripvery upscale and staff anticipated every need!
I am a One ClubCorp member, but probably not for long. Here is the real scoop:
Food - Lacking: despite a new restaurant with a nice (small) bar and very accommodating staff, the food is horrible. It really is a massive disappointment and you can get better food at nearby LimeRock or Queen Anne's Pub for about the same price.
Gym - Terrible: it is slightly better than a local hobo down gym. It has some basic cardio equipment, minimal dumbells, no free weights, and some antiquated equipment. It is unquestionably a massive disappointment, with no place to shower and clean up before work.
Pools - disappointing: the big pool is OK (great for families). The other pool (so-called relaxed "adult" pool) is poorly kept, with minimal chairs (bring your own), no service, and a lot of kids. The fact is, the one pool is busy (big, Club House pool) and the other one is neglected and VERY VERY ghetto (NOTE: the folks there are probably neither resident nor members).
Greens - Best Part which is sad: well kept greens in a relaxed setting in Central Florida. It is the only reason to join the club and even the lay out is odd.
Bad food, bad gym, poor pools, no additional amenities, and decent greens - this club is a disappointment. I will be leaving soon.
Members beware! This club uses and takes advantage of their employees. I worked for this company and have requested payment for my time and work. My boss, Dena Power, agreed to helping me get it figured out and then decided its probably easier to fire me instead of helping me with my owed wages. I have reached out to Dena regarding this issue, which she now suggests I take care of, even though I've already done quite a bit of work for this establishment without proper payment. It is her responsibility as my manager to make sure her employees are being paid correctly.
Needs 1-2 more pools preferably heated due to size of neighborhood. Also more desirable menu options on a nightly basis. Could really use some live music, kereoke, trivia or any kind of live entertainment during the evenings on weekends. Also offer more gatherings for members and neighbors to meet and socialize.
