So great, staff is there to inform you if questions. Some species you can touch and/or hold. Just a great little facility for the whole family to learn and appreciate our precious sea life.

Awesome place for well behaved children that love learning. Many hands on things to do. Very knowledgeable employ=s and those that didn't know would be honest and say so, went so far as to say that the person that would know would be right back. Another gentleman stopped what he was doing to talk to my child, explain things to him and actually listen to the questions he was asking. I will definitely be going back and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place

Took our grandkids!!! Such a great learning experience! I would recommend to everyone!! Touch tanks were awesome, so much to see and learn, yet not so overwhelming for the younger ones. I would love to be here during a rescue release!

Nice little place to go, my nine year old had fun going from tank to tank looking at the animals. The touch tanks were cool, crabs, shells, starfish, and other stuff. Wish we had gone on a day when there was more staff there. Had a number of questions about things but no one to answer. Some tanks labeled real well some not. Tank cleaner guy obviously had thanksgiving week off. All in all, a good time. The seafood restaurant at the end of the street was great.

Small, unassuming research facility. Mostly outdoors. Lots of "touch tanks" for hands on learning. Fee goes towards research, rescue and rehabilitation. We had a great time with our young daughter. Staff was friendly and engaging with our little one.

This place is a MUST SEE! We even went back the second year. The staff are super friendly and will answer questions and even just start sharing information with you if you are shy. Many of the tanks you can put your hand in, touch and pick things up. Watch them feed the sharks, sting rays and octopus. Find out what all that "stuff" is you find out on your walks along the beach. They also rehabilitate sea turtles!

For the price you would think there would be a tour guide to explain more about the animals. Or someone to look over the tanks. Since some teenagers can't read the no touch tank signs. That kept touching them. And while other small children watched them. Was a neat place to see. And loved being able to touch a few things. Just wish we had someone that worked there Be out watching and or explaining more about the creatures. Also some tanks said they had stuff in them But didn't. Just seemed like they was lacking staff really bad!!

My granddaughter and I had a wonderful experience at the Gulf Aquarium in Panacea. A guide showed her how to pick up and hold a horseshoe crab. The stingray enjoyed being petted on her wings as much as my granddaughter enjoyed it. We got there at just the right time to help feed the groupers and nurse sharks. What fun!

I personally thought the admission price was high, but then I started realizing all that they are trying to do here for the marine life. Kids loved being able to touch crabs and starfish. And the sea turtles and sharks are huge! We ended up spending a few hours here, and all left happy with our experience!

We found a brochure for this place at The Pearl and decided to check it out. It is definitely a hidden gem. There were several open tanks that the kids were encouraged to touch and handle the Marine life. Most of them were set up like various beach environments we've seen here in the state. There were some preserved specimens as well, which my son really liked looking at. There are also many "looking" tanks where the animals could bite, but they are still open to allow visitors to get a close look. The sting ray seemed to enjoy splashing us. There were three sea turtles who were unable to be re-released due to injury in "looking" tanks. It was amazing to get that close to these giants. There were several college aged young people working there and they seemed connected with the animals and were quite friendly with guests. I am really glad we found this place.
