When flies land on your unit at the stand up urinal, and you utilize carefully aimed and blown cigarette smoke to chase them away, then have an ashtray handily positioned to stash your roach upon finishing your task. You know you're at the Green Parrot .

22 years after my first root beer barrel shooter, and despite so many changes on the island, this remains the best watering hole in Key West and one of the best spots in the world for watching consistently-awesome and varied live music.

Cute little local hippy bar. Loved it! We didn't like any of the bars on Duval, they only played crappy radio hits and the crowd was kinda eh. But the Green Parrot had a live band and cool vibe.

Good drinks at a decent price. They have little bits of food and plenty of seating. Smoking is allowed. Overall a great bar.

Green Parrot does it again and again! Great shows, no cover. Best live music venue anywhere. Key West locals know. You should try it. Don't know how John does it but Amazing he does it all the time.

This is a must stop for live music. They have local musicians that are fantastic playing live in a semi outdoor bar setting. The drinks are cold and the environment is unique.

This is one of the 'must see' in key west. Amazing bands have played here, very friendly staff and great beer selection. One of the most characteristic places on the island.

Great place to have a drink and watch some live music. Open late night, friendly staff and crowd. Can get crowded but friendly crowd. Great place to hit on a pub crawl. Near Hemingway house.

Great music! These guys never bring in a bad act. Be prepared, though; this place is usually crowded and pricey unless it's happy hour.

This historical place in Key West provides a cosy environment where you can have a beer with live music. This dive bar is a must go in Key West, I suggest you to visit the souvenir shop as well. Even when the city is not so crowded there you will find every seat taken after 9 p.m. Beers and cocktails for 5-6 $. Minimum charge for credit card $15. Free (although poor) wifi and free pop corn.

Bit of a crusty dive-bar but certainly a unique place. Drinks were decent but somewhat unremarkable. The Green Parrot left all their windows and doors open so it was almost an open-air patio feel. Biggest attraction is definitely the wall art, most famous of which is The Smirk. The loose story behind it is it was painted from a picture but the likeness is a bit shoddy. However the painting is charming and cheeky. You can buy magnets and other Smirk tchotchkes in the adjoining gift shoppe.
