A good peaceful stop for a stretch. Usually not crowded. Good view of the Ohio River, tables, public restroom.

It is beautiful there. Water is near and it is quiet plus wildlife there also.

Visited in July. The history is interesting and enlightening. Rest area was filthy with litter, garbage and not mowed. Grant Bridge covered in vines and weeds as seen in trip advisor photos. House and grounds needed maintenance. Shame on Ohio.

Knowledgeable staff member able to answer questions and clearly passionate about history. Original and period pieces in the home.

Be aware, no decent bathroom nearby. The one across the street is not maintained by this site and is downright scary.

Surprisingly interesting, as far as historical monuments go. The tour is only three dollars, and well worth it.

This is the original birthplace of Ulysses S. Grant. Furnished in early 1800's furniture, you will some original items belonging to Grant's parents; Jesse and Hanna Grant.

This is a one room house where Grant was born. After the Grant's moved, two more rooms were added. The tour focused on the way they lived and the furnishings. The cost is low to visit.

A small house with a good guide to the life and times of U. S. Grant. Many of the items were actuality used by him or his parents. The bed and long rocker are particularly interesting.
