I was not as impressed as I felt I should have been. I spent two nights at the resort. Of course our first night we had all the items we needed but the second night we did without body soap since it was thrown away by the room attendant but not replenished. As well as the coffee specifically after asking it to be replenished. I know that it sounds quite petty but if you pay $300 a night you would appreciate a simple request be fulfilled. The shower was absolutely wonderful until you stepped out and discovered your water not only went down the drain but drained out of the shower, into the bathroom floor, out into the room towards the door. Not something I wanted to clean up after I had taken a shower.
My Mom and her friend have been meeting here for lunch and a chat for over 15 years. They've always had great service and food. The grounds are very impressive and the little "lion pit" garden in the middle of the traffic circle is ideal for keeping a dog entertained and contained.
From check-in to check-out and everything in between, we received superb service. Beautiful and challenging golf course and the pro shop offers great advice and high end clothing and accessories. Dinner (and breakfast) at Di Valletta was a treat. We can't wait to return!
Extremely pleasant staff. Clean rooms. Great live music entertainment at the bar. A spa a pool and a game room. Not to mention the golf coarse itself was pretty expansive and nice. Would love to come again!
My first time there. Went there for 2 days of business meetings and afternoon of golf. Wonderful service from all staff. Food was great too. Meeting rooms were very nice and comfortable. Golf was a blast. They had all our names on the carts and made sure we had everything we needed. Great overall experience.
I was at a work event in the convention center portion of the hotel. It was very nice. The food was excellent. The facilities are also excellent. Would highly recommend.
Five Vehicles Robbed and Damaged in the Parking Lot at the Grandover Resort and Spa
A week ago, many of my son’s wedding party family and friends checked into the Grandover Resort and Spa. I would have never imagined a Four-Star Hotel would have less than adequate security. On Sunday morning, we woke to find out that not one, but five vehicles were broken into during the night. Windows smashed or shattered to access the vehicles. You would have thought someone monitoring the security cameras might have seen some suspicious activity. Three vehicles belonged to folks who were part of our wedding; two were other unfortunate people parked in the same vicinity. All within plain sight of the front door/entrance! I am talking about sixty to seventy yards away . . . not even a full pitching wedge!
First of all, the hotel is not located in a dense urban downtown area or located in a high crime area. Secondly, nowhere are signs posted warning you not to leave valuables in your vehicle as is typical of hotel parking decks/lots located in urban areas.
Needless to say, we thought our vehicles were safe. Sunday morning, while waiting in the parking lot on the police to arrive, one of the two hotel employees stated they were "light" on security last night.
Additionally, when the hotel was approached yesterday about paying the deductible for the car insurance so the individual(s) would not be out-of-pocket for the damage to their vehicles on the hotel's property; the hotel refused to pay even when claims and receipts were provided.
Only a free night’s stay was offered! Thanks, but NO THANKS! We do not want to risk another damaged vehicle or worse. We certainly will not be staying at the Grandover Resort and Spa again. My advice, consider other options.
Great place to stay if you want your vehicle broken into and all of your belongings stolen!
I enjoyed my stay, the night I was married, until I went out to my truck the following morning to leave on my honeymoon, just to realize that it had been broken into (along with a handful of other vehicles). My truck was parked in the first row, to the right, with in sight of the front door. After having over $1500 worth of stuff stolen from my truck and $1100 worth of damage done to my truck, I asked the the general manager to help me with my $500 insurance deductible. Then, after much arguing back and forth, They reluctantly comped me my room (a $175 value, or so). Their security CLEARLY dropped the ball and response was to deny this fact and simply state that there was nothing further they could do.
I even tried to valley my vehicle when I arrived after my wedding (around midnight), however there was no one to be found in the lobby no front desk attendant, security guard, vallet attendant, etc no one.
Needless to say, I will never be staying there again!
I attended a tasting for an event. The staff was attentive and accommodating. The table setting was lovely. The service was impeccable. The chef presented beautiful and delicious options-oh, the POTATOES! I was impressed and am quite excited for the event.
Have been here for a couple of conferences. Good location for conference. Service is good. Rooms are very comfortable. Have enjoyed my stays here. Would recommend it highly to any business looking for a smaller conference center.
We really enjoyed the Grandover Resort. The foyer is beautiful and the rooms were contemporary. There was even a little coffee pot with coffee in the room. We are at the cafe there and the food and service was great. Would recommend to friends.
Room was very nice and modern. Breakfast was fantastic and the grounds were beautiful. Pool was very cool, as well. Dinner was delivered via room service very quickly. We really enjoyed our stay.
I expected more for the money At check out, I asked if we could change the CC, they told me at checkout**wrong card charged at checkout When I booked the room, I told them it was our Anniversary. The sounded very happy for us and told me that there would be a bottle of red wine as a gift. **No wine in the room. When I booked the room, it was supposed to have a "jetted Tub" ** No jetted tub. At Dinner we were **missing a place setting and service was only so-so. Drinks at the bar were just OK and they were **bar closing at 10:30pm, when there were customers waiting for drinks! Breakfast buffet was ok, **missing another place setting! And they were "changing over for the Brunch, took away all the bread and cereal early**UPDATE Issues were resolved by the hotel
The brunch buffet is no longer a buffet, which my husband and I were very disappointed about! The service is still good, but we miss the old spread of amazing food. I hope they bring back the buffet!
Beautiful Resort, the hotel is gorgeous. The freshly renovated rooms are nice. The older rooms have a stale smell to them. When we asked for a different room the management was able to accommodate us immediately. The management and the staff at the hotel are super friendly and I would give them a five star review. The doorman was very knowledgeable about the resort and he showed us around which was very helpful. The spa experience was very disappointing the pool was dirty with bugs and tree debris. The pool was also very packed. When we checked into the spa they did not have lockers on the first floor so they moved us to the second which was very difficult for us. We had to run up and down the floor for anything that we had to pick up from the lockers. The steam room was disgusting, I would recommend to stay away from it. My massage was a definite five star ! The main restaurant at the resort has a mouth-watering lamb chop appetizer for a ridiculously great price ! Our server was phenomenal! I probably would not come back to use the spa, I would stay at the resort once again. I would come back for the Green Bloody Mary! The cilantro gave it an extra kick!
