Very helpful and understanding staff. Great rooms at a reasonable rate for the area. Great view, a lot of common areas to lounge in, and abundant with amenities. Highly recommended!

Beautiful view and great location. Rooms are clean and have been updated very nicely. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was limited.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. The room was clean, and spacious. We had a beach view room and the view was amazing, too bad it was off season, but can't blame the hotel for that. The staff was helpful and friendly. Nice pool area and it was clean. One part that was lacking for the price was the breakfast. It was nothing special, they could have had a better selection such as a few hot items like sausage or eggs. Overall I would highly recommend staying here and would return.

This hotel is one of the top places I have stayed at. We did an extended weekend stay. The room was clean but did have a few areas which I thought could have been cleaner for the price, such as a build up dust behind the TV and smell inside the microwave. The room was also quite for the most part, there was only one day I felt it was loud, did yard work at 8 am in a Friday morning. The view from the room was awesome. The staff was friendly and willing to accommodate. The pool and spa were well maintained and provided hours of fun for the kids. The arcade was also maintained and cheap. Most expensive game and only one priced at that price was $2 and that was a 2 person hockey game, the rest were 50 cents to a quarter. The other area I felt was an issue was the breakfast. Again for the price of the room, I felt that their breakfast could have been more then waffles, begals, yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal. Also the coffee was awful but the tea made up for that. Overall, the hotel is a great place to stay and I would come back again.

This stay was less than a positive experience. There was loud talking next door well beyond 11:00 O'Clock. After calling the desk twice the host offered to move us to another room. My wife and I are both elderly, moving at that time of the night was not a good option.
We have stayed here on numerous occasions and have been happy with our time here, but this is not the only place up here.response / report this review -

A lovely place to stay. Indoor pool and nice sandy beach. Breakfast is limited, the concierge is nice they follow up with you and make sure everything is to your liking. They have a boat rentals right on the beach. Location is good, access to putt putt and a small, however, well stocked mini mart down the street. The only real issue (although not with the hotel) we had was traffic was unrelenting so it is a problem to get across the street.

Staff was very friendly. They provided us an upgrade upon arrival, and thoroughly explained all amenities. The hotel is an amazing place, especially with a 10 and a 7 yo. The beach was right out side our door, making a day in the sun amazing. Bathroom, fridge, and anything else just a few steps away from our hotel provided beach umbrella and chairs. Breakfast works, you're not going to get anything fancy, but having something this easy with the kids is perfect. Highly recommended for young families.

Just returned from 3 nights at the Grand Beach Resort Hotel in Traverse City. And it was wonderful. Not a true 5 star hotel - but it was clean, the room good sized, and the staff was wonderful, helpful and honest about the local attractions. Made some very wonderful and surprising recommendations. Had a beach front room (a must). Wife and I returned at the end of each day for a nightcap on our balcony. A beautiful, quiet time. I used to do a lot of business travel and have stayed in many hotels. This, overall, was one of the best hotel experiences I ever had. I would strongly recommend it. We will be back.

Completely offended and very disgusted! Have stayed at this resort many times in the last several years. Never paid more than $99.00 a night! I would be willing to pay a little more during the busy season but, called tonight to book a room for a doctor's appointment for my mom. 77 years old and limited mobility but can still access a normal room. A beach room was quoted well over $300 dollars!! Seriously?!?!? Highway robbery and very disrespectful to a loyal customer. They will never get my business again!!!! Nothing like gouging!

Great view of the lake. I am here in May 2017 and they just finished a remodel job so the rooms are very nice. No tub in our room, just a tiled shower. We have a couch with a queen bed and a small table with two chairs. Very nice. The balcony is perfect to come back to at night to sit and have a drink while overlooking the lake although it is pretty cold here for May in the 50's and 60's. Have not been out at the lake front. Watched one crazy teenager get fully in the water. Crazy. Breakfasts are ok. No hot foods except waffles. Would highly recommend for the summer months.

This place is simply lovely. Service was amazing and the staff very friendly. Pool and hot tub prefect temps and I appreciate the last hour being adults only. Beach was very clean. Over all the room was beautiful and bed was comfy although I'd bring my own pillow next time.

Great hotel! A staff member called a week before to remind me of my stay and to ask if I had any questions about the hotel or traverse city. I've stayed at a lot of different hotels and never had them call ahead! When we checked in the staff were super friendly, and when we stepped into the room it looked very clean and smelled like lavender! The room was decorated very nice with a beautiful photo on the wall, fun aquatic mattress cover, the lamps were cute lighthouses. All the nice little touches that showed they put love into the design. The beach was beautiful and the sand was a very rich brown color. We come to Traverse city often, and this is the best hotel here that we have been to!

I got married in Traverse City last weekend and chose this hotel for me and my guests to stay at. I'm so glad I did! It's newly renovated and extremely clean. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. The pool area is large and clean as well. You can't beat the beach view or the location. Less than a 5 minute drive to downtown! I almost can't believe the amazing hotel I got for the unbeatable price. I will absolutely be back and have already recommended to friends.
