Sunday brunch/lunch (1pm). No wait, with most tables taken. Meal was the Wagyu Burger and a waffle/chicken. Food was delicious. Service was exceptional, friendly staff. Classy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Sourdough bread and biscuits were awesome before the meal. Food was served extremely quickly, except for sweet potato hash was delivered late. Sweet potatoes were comped before they even arrived when we were informed they would be delayed (served about 5 minutes after meal arrived). My water glass never made it below half full and I was drinking a lot. Highly recommended, would definitely return.

Brunch Was Good. Grilled Cheese (Very Good but very little Cheese). Mac N Cheese was Delicious. Biscuits and Gravy ( Nice Buttered Biscuit, Gravy had good flavor but needed more!). Old Fashioned was expensive but good (Julep is better). Friendly & Funny Staff (Anthony does weird things). Free Street Parking. Clean Establishment. Definitely will be back.

Very good service! Our server was helpful and guided us through the menu. We were a group of 5 people there for dinner. The apps and main courses were great. I would def be back here when visiting KC!

Great place we take a lot of our out of town guests. The food has been great every time we've been. Drinks are very good as well. Smoking Dun in particular is a favorite. Great spot for brunch too. Their waffles are incredible. It's on the pricey side but for the Plaza that should be expected.

Short rib grilled cheese was awesome. The Goat salad was good but a standard salad, nothing outsyanding. The fries were perfect - hot and crispy on the outside. Service was friendly, prompt, and attentive at the right times. Clean and enjoyable outdoor seating with plenty of umbrellas. Any September sun on anyone would have been uncomfortable. Witnessed one trio in partial shade that asked later for indoor seating and was immediately taken in.

We came back to celebrate our 32nd anniversary after having a memorable 31st anniversary dinner. Our server and the entire staff were wonderful! They treated is if we were the only guests they had.

The cocktails were as we remembered. Very unique and delicious. The food was as amazing as we remembered. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked and the scallops were also perfectly prepared.

The topper was when they brought us a. Complimentary glass of champagne and a card signed by the staffthen a few minutes later, they brought us their signature dessert complimentary as well.

We are already looking forward to visiting again for our 33rd anniversary.

It was just OK. We were in town for the weekend and wanted to try something recommended from Food Bloggers. Had the Ginger Rogers, the Not-So-Standard potato chips, The Goat Salad, and the Hanger Steak (which was supposed to be medium rare, but was pretty raw). Again, it was all just middle of the road and definitely nothing to rave about. The service was really great though, and our food came out rather quickly. Willing to try it again, and go for something different.

A group of friends ate there and tried three different sandwiches and one kind of salad. The short rib and grilled cheese sandwich, the hamburger, and the pork loin sandwiches were perfection with just the right cheese, grilled onions, and sauces to compliment the accompanying bun. We all decided the fries were some of the best weed ever had just the right seasoning with a crunchy outer layer and a soft inside. They were served with a spicy ketchup and a version of their mustard which were perfect. The goat cheese salad was arugula radishes and the creamiest goat cheese I've had in awhile. We had lunch so did not sample the dinner menu.

Service was good and the food was pretty decent. For the price I would like to organic ingredients, larger portions, and when someone orders biscuits and gravy there should be enough gravy for both biscuits.

Been here a handful of times and the service is always good. A little tight quarters if you sit on the north side of the restaurant along the middle but manageable. I know my shrimp & grits and its good here. Ambience good and the drinks could be better.

Excellent service and proportional size meals. The waitress and manager were very kind in ensuring I enjoyed my meal. They were attentive and the food was delicious. I enjoy the new taste on soul food cooking.

By far the best service I've received from a restaurant in a long time!

The atmosphere is nice and our waitress was fantastic. The food was good, but not great compared to what you paid (it's higher end- for example our friend ordered shrimp on his salad. $6, 2 shrimp). I'm not opposed to paying more for higher quality dishes, but this place doesn't balance that equation.

Seems to be the place to go if you're more concerned about appearances, and being seen on the Plaza having dinner, rather than the place to go for a serious culinary experience.
