Eddie McCormick is a great dealer to buy from. He didn't stop working for us until he found us the perfect car for our needs and price range! If you want a good deal, you should definitely go to Thouroughbred Ford and ask for Eddie!
Went in for an alignment, they said it was good. Couple hundred miles later and my new tires are feathering paid 50 something dollars for ford to tell my alignment was good and obviously it isn't if tires are starting to feather with low mileage.. mind you all front end components are in good condition. Won't be going back.
I have been a Ford owner for many years. I believe that Thoroughbred Ford Personnel treated me like I was a special customer. BRIAN AND COACH treated my wife and I as special customers wanting to make sure we were satisfied in every way with no Sales pressures. Thank you both. I have purchased 6 vehicles from Thoroughbred 's local competiter due to the convenient proximity to my home and was never treated as well as I was treated by Brian and Coach. Never pressured and always treated as a valued customer. Thoroughbed Ford will have my business for life. Bye the way my wife and I love our new car.
When I took my T.C. to Thoroughbred for the fuel vapor correction, I was extremely pleased at the new average mpg. It was usually around 24-25 and now the average is 27-28. They also searched for any new recalls and found one about the possible defect in the sliding door latches. I was treated with the same respect as if I were paying for the repairs. I have always been treated respectfully at Thoroughbred Ford. As I have told others, there may be other manufacturers who may make products as good as Ford BUT it is the people of Thoroughbred who have made me a loyal customer.
Service experience has been good when I've brought my car there. Prices are always a little higher than a Jiffy Lube and since they use Genuine Ford parts - but you get what you pay for here.
Additionally, their waiting room is fairly small, so if you have to wait for a while, I'd recommend dropping it off. Otherwise, a very good service experience here.
I can't speak for buying a car there. But if you need an oil change it is fairly fast compared to Gary Crossley Ford in liberty. Usually about half the wait at Thoroughbred. People were nice place is clean.
Thoroughbred Ford has been my service department for the last several months for my 2014 Ford fusion. I have brought the vehicle in for service due to an issue and was quoted at a high price to get the job done. I had a warranty that I purchased to extend the warranty when I bought the car. The warranty that I purchased should cover the cost of labor and parts to fix the problem. As I suspected that the price that I was quoted was on the high side, I did some research. Based on research I found on the web, I was being quoted 175% higher than what the going price would be. The service department had to call for the warranty to cover the issue and the warranty company said they would cover up to there maximum threshold and the service department said I would be responsible for the difference. What is the point of having a warranty if it won't cover the cost to repair the vehicle. Keep in mind it cost an extra $2000 to buy the extended warranty in the first place. I told the service department my concern as far as the price of the fixing the problem and they argued with me and said their price is fair. After a while they gave me $30 off from their original quote but I still didn't find that fair so I asked to speak to the service manager. The service manager acted as if he did me a favor by giving me the $30 off and got very upset for me to even question their price. I explained that my research on the web said different and that if the warranty company is not going to cover the entire cost then they are asking too much. The thing that made things worse is the way the service manager spoke to me over the phone. He yelled at me and told me that I am stupid. He also he'd the nerve to ask me what I do for a living. What does that have to do with anything? It doesn't. I explained that if I had to pay the difference then I would not be 100 percent satisfied with Thoroughbred Ford. Actually after speaking to the service manager and he talk to me as a customer that way, I wouldn't be 100 percent satisfied anyway. Now I get a survey to ask me if I am satisfied and I am telling it the way it was. Customer service sucks, pricing and quotes are very high, and I think I may find a different place to get my vehicle serviced. How can Thoroughbred Ford say that they want customers 100 percent satisfied yet talk to their customers they way I was talked to and over charge customers on services. I am not satisfied at all in my experience. They did fix the problem and that is why I gave them a 2 stars out of 5.
I just bought a 2016 Ford car from a used car dealer. By the time I got home I knew something was wrong. Unfortunately, by the time I could have the problem looked into, my dealer's service department would only say the car was still covered under the original Ford warranty.
So, I called Thoroughbred and explained my trouble. Jon in the service department was great. He kept me informed throughout the entire process. They replaced one part, and he had to let me know that the problem wasn't fixed. Once the primary issue was taken care of, he then researched my vehicle to make sure there were no recalls or other known issues that needed attention. Jon and the technician were diligent in making sure that my "new" car was in working order.
What could have easily cost a $1000 or more, didn't cost me anything other than a bit of time and inconvenience.
They were thorough, professional, and concerned. I couldn't be happier.
Thank you Jon and the rest of the service department.
From the first pics on the Internet to the wonderful salesman to the final goodbye, this was a great experience! Captain Jim was very pleasant, thorough, patient, and trustworthy. In fact, everyone that I met (at least 10 employees) was professional and very courteous. I actually flew from Jacksonville, Florida with full confidence that it would be a fruitful trip (because of Jim's lengthy and detailed description of the vehicle), and it was! I purchased a 2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4X4 and drove it home proudly. I only wish that Thoroughbred Ford had a local dealership here in Jacksonville. Five full stars!
Coach Galvin has sold us several cars and has also taken care of my kids cars too. Great experience and a knowledgeable salesman. It's hard to find a dealer you can trust but I have found a friend in the car business!
An Amazing purchase experience at Thoroughbred Ford, KC, MO! Brandon Lincoln is the best car salesman that I have ever worked with hands down! Brandon is the hardest working and most trustworthy salesman in the store! He bent over backward to put me in a F350 Super Duty at the best price possible! And the Dealer was more than fair on my trade-in, giving me the high end of the blue book value! Ask for Brandon and tell them Jeff sent you. You will be taken care of!
Recently I became employed with Ford's Kansas City Assembly Plant and took advantage of the A plan and new hire discounts. I was told by several employees I work with at the plant to go to this dealership specifically because they really take good care of their customers. My fellow employees are right! This dealership is awesome! My salesman, Mike Stadler, is equally polite as he is professional! He took the time to assess my needs for what I was seeking for a new vehicle purchase. After talking for a bit he was able to locate the perfect car for me within minutes. I am a super picky person about things I purchase but believe it or not the first car he found me and test drove was the car I ended up purchasing that day! I walked in with the mindset of getting the most basic Fiesta model and left with a Ford Focus SE sedan which completely exceeds my personal expectations for what I wanted in a car! Mike, as well as the rest of the rest of the staff at Thoroughbred Ford made my purchasing experience top quality, painless, and fun! I am very thankful for everything these people have done to ensure I was driving the right car and was able to have a new vehicle quickly! Thank you Mike and the rest of the staff at Thoroughbred Ford! I am a happy customer!
This was our first time buying a new car, so we weren't sure which dealership to purchase through. After our experience with Thoroughbred Ford, we wouldn't go to any other dealership. Everyone was extremely helpful, efficient, and straight forward. This was a great experience from the moment we walked in. We were welcomed immediately by a gentleman named "Coach" who was very helpful. He provided the perfect balance of being helpful, but not too pushy.
Once we had selected our car (after test drives), we were helped by another gentleman in finance that explained everything really well. He also had that welcoming mentality, which we appreciated as first time car buyers.
After we purchased, within a week we were contacted by another individual, TJ, who was very nice and thorough asking us about our experience.
Thanks Thoroughbred Ford, we love our new vehicle!
Simply the easiest car buying experience I've personally ever had. I called my salesman on the phone, told him what I was looking for and when I was coming out to look. When I got there, the perfect description of the vehicle I wanted was already pulled up front for me to take a test drive.
Did paperwork and the truck was mine. Easy.
This is of course going to almost every other dealer in town closer to my home and having no success. So the extra time it takes for me to get to them was well worth the trip and time
Great dealership.
