Always pretty clean compared to some of the other ones I’ve been to. Always a good find or two when I visit.

This place was more crowded than I've ever seen. People were taking items out of others shopping carriages. There were a lot of quality items, as Matthews is an affluent area, however most items never made it to the shelf before they were snatched up. The workers seemed friendly and responsive, the customers made this Goodwill experience less than optimal. The store is clean despite the ravenous crowd.

As of today I'm an ex employee who was fired with no warning after letting me work my shift all day, even though my termination paper was dated for yesterday. Citing I made a hostile environment and never did my job. I was told I was not a good fit, conveniently 2 days before my 90 days were up, and to get my stuff and leave. But they have a member of management who we had to beg to let us have bottled water to drink during our shifts. Who I had several problems with that I took to management and nothing was done. Others had some of the same problems and reported them and nothing was done. Other employees who were problematic and took long breaks throughout the day. Guess I was just the wrong color to be part of the store. Thanks for showing me GOODWILL IS A JOKE AND HAS NO INTEREST IN HELPING PEOPLE AS THEY CLAIM. I feel the man I met on the other side of that desk today was the real man behind the mask. Cold and uncaring of any human emotion. I was terminated for things ever other employee did but they all still have their jobs and I'm out of one.

The staff has turned this store into hoodwill. The mgmt is ghetto. Awful. Nice community with good stuff, bad staff, possibly running another store out the back.

The workers there are more interested in talking and gossiping than doing their jobs. They fight over who is actually going to work the floor. The furniture and equipment there is better priced than any other Goodwill around. Whoever is doing the pricing there actually has the good sense not to price things the same as a store would have it for new.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! This store is the worst I ever been. Manager lacks of control has 2 faces. He pretends to be nice at you but he actually doesn't care if you tell him something. Cashiers do whatever they want and even assigning prices to merchandise. They do all except doing their job!
