Friendly service and a nice, secluded location with beautiful surroundings and an incredible golf course. Rooms for check-in weren't ready until after 4pm which was frustrating. Rooms were also pretty dated in their decor (older carpet, dusty) which was disappointing. An overall nice place to stay for groups, weddings, etc. but did not amaze as much as I had hoped.

MY FRIEND AND I DECIDED TO GO SOME PLACE OTHER THAN OUR NORMAL HAUNTS. WE HAD NOT BEEN TO THE GOLD CANYON GOLF RESORT FOR A WHILE, SO OFF WE WENT. OUR FOOD WAS GREAT! SERVICE WAS FAST AND FRIENDLY. WE STAYED AND VISITED FOR A WHILE ENJOYING THE RELAXING VIEW OF THE GREENS.GOOD LUNCH.

Dinosaur Mountain golf course is a great layout, spectacular views. Sidewinder golf course also hard to beat. Both very well maintained. Practice facility is subpar, however.

Best resort ever! Not too ritz where you feel award to look or touch anything, but everything is still very very nice here. They treat you lile royalty. Pricing is great. The staff is the real reason we go now. If I ever move from az, this will be an annual vacation spot for us for sure, as we wive 15 min away and still stay here! You won't be disappointed with anything! Best views ever!

Dining room in need of TLC. Waiters had to mop up rain coming in from the patio doors, and ceiling was dripping in a few places. There was even a huge water bubble in the ceiling tiles, which had some of us move to avoid the worst. Food was good, but side dishes could use updating. I was glad we went on a night where everything is half price. Live music was excellent. I would have loved a bit more ambiance and dimmed lighting, and not feel like I am eating in a cafeteria.

Never a dull moment on this challenging golf course with the spectacular views, always cheery staff, and well manicured course. And you get a free wildlife show to boot. You can only have a bad game if you let yourself since there are a few unforgiving holes/greens on both Dinosaur or Sidewinder.

The worst hotel we've ever stayed in. The room was dirty, the sheets had holes and were dingy white besides the bed being hard as a rock. The electrical outlets would not hold a plug. The TV list did not match the TV lineup, and there were no movie channels. The woman at the front desk was slow at helping us as she finished something else on her computer, and as the line grew longer. The small refrigerator had someone else's left over food. It was just an overall bad experience. We will never stay in this dump again.

My day at Gold Canyon was one of the best in all three trips I've made to the Phoenix area. I'll just throw some words out there. Stunning, magnificent, beautiful, enjoyable, and that was just the view. Their staff took care of me like a king from the guys in the pro shop, the marshal and starter, the beverage cart gals, and even The Director of Golf. The golf was fun, fair, challenging, risky and rewarding. The conditions of the Dinosaur course were second to none with lush, green fairways to true and quick rolling greens. And the round was capped with spirits on the deck with the wonderful people I was so fortunate to be paired with. I love desert golf in AZ and I try to play a different course each day I'm there. Gold Canyon Resort is one I can't wait to play again.

Beautiful course. I played the dinosaur 18. Very fun and challenging. The shape of the course was very well groomed. Even if you don't golf and just road in a golf cart with someone that did, you would be blown away with the scenic views! Top notch staff. The only negative things I have is the bunkers are inconsistent. Some have good sand, others don't and then there are rocks in some. I didn't feel it was enough to dock them a star. Very happy with this course and I will be back!
