Sunday evening dinner
I had the Chicken Marsala, Caesar dressing on the salad. Neither were good, I'm afraid. The chicken was most definitely NOT fresh cooked. It actually tasted like it was about to go bad. The prosciutto in the Marsala sauce was, well, either not prosciutto or also bad. It looked like ground mystery meat. Prosciutto is supposed to be sliced very thin. This was strange. The sauce itself was good, but nothing was fresh made.
The salad dressing was bottled, and Caesar dressing shouldn't be sweet.
Very disappointed. My husband and I both said Olive Garden would have been preferable. And for an Italian to say that is something!
On the plus side, the waitress was great!
This is five star dining at its best I love everything on the menu and the staff is by far the best service in town in the five-star restaurant range and I have the best food they're still not the most expensive so I give them a huge thumbs up
The food here is always fresh and made to order. They make all the food and desert's in house. Seafood ravioli with cream sauce Is such a wonderful meal, have also had eggplant parmesan other pasta dishes and chicken. All is made with love. The staff is very nice.
Best family owned Italian food restaurant in the Tri-Cities! Everything detail, from their made fresh salad dressings, to their many pastas, fish and steak and veal selections are delicious!
Great service and wonderful daily specialsbe sure to save room for dessertwhen the waitstaff brings the lovely dessert selection to your table? Take one home if you are too full!
The food was great. Being Italian it was really great. The only problem I had was it is in Kingsport and I live in Bristol Virginia wish they were closer also they are much much better then Olive Garden.
Wonderful experience every time! The food is excellent and the atmosphere and service make it superb!
Wonderful Italian food, great wait staff, and a nice atmosphere! What more can a person ask for. Giuseppe's has my patronage.
We go here once a week. Sit in the bar area. David, the bartender is the absolute best. Very attentive and extremely hospitable.
Vegetarian Lasagna was so so good!! Vegetables impeccable, cheese great I'm not a vegan, but WOW, this could change my mind!! Keep doing what your doing chef. Also need ADD Chicken Cantilloni as a reg menu item :)
There was little wait to be seated on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly enough. The menu was expansive with an excellent Italian selection, especially given this area's lack of authentic Italian. The menu was a tad pricey for the portions. Our waitress was relatively short with us, but it may have been the company at the time. Overall, I really enjoyed it and look forward to going back.
Totallly amazing.really wonderful Italian food. Enjoyed immensely.
I eat at Guiseppe's with my partner on a weekly basis. The beauty of Guiseppe's is you can have it your way. Want to add an ingredient? Sure! Want more garlic, a different type of garlic, etc.? Sure! Want to order something not even on the menu? So far, they've been able to do that also. If you just tell them how you want something, they will do their utmost to make you a satisfied customer. I have eaten at better Italian restaurants in big cities, but they cost significantly more. For the Tri-Cities, Guiseppe's is five star Italian.
I dined at this 'place" on 2/16/17 and I must say that the veal park and spaghetti side was the most terrible meal. The veal, although plentiful was tough. But the most disgusting part was the red sauce. It was like weak Campbell's tomato soup. I regret not complaining and refusing to pay. Go an Italian restaurant to have a marinara sauce that bad is truly a sin
Overrated. Big time! Our party of 6 had nothing enjoyable. Go to Chop House if you want a great meal.
Probably the best "formal" restaurant in Kingsport. Excellent choice of entrees and I was surprised to find on our last visit an entree that I tried to order a few years ago but they didn't have (but tried to make for me at the time). I'm very happy to say that the new entree, the Giuseppe's Seafood Combo, with hot/spicy marinara is my new favorite of any dish I've had anywhere. While the calamari may have been cooked 30 seconds too long, everything else about it was perfect. Great service, great food, and a local small business. Doesn't get much better than that!
