HORRIBLE customer service! My husband and I relocated for work to the Cleveland area and moved into a Gilbert property. About 3 weeks later we noticed a leak in the back of the house. We called Gilbert Realestate as soon as we noticed it and spoke to Susie. This was around 8:00pm after my husband got home from work. My husband told her he was able to track down the leak to a busted plumbing pipe and dug it up. He proceeded to tell her that instead of calling an emergency plumber, he could fix it himself. She said that she really appreciated it and would call and get the water bill adjusted seeing as it would most likely be much higher due to the leak. My husband spent several hours and his own money for supplies to fix the leak (which we had no problem doing). As suspected, we received a $332 water bill about 2 weeks later. I called the office every day for 5 days asking if anyone had spoke to the water company and every day someone would tell me to call back the following day or that someone would call me back (which never happened). Today, the 5th day, when I called the office and I told them it was me calling again to see if they had spoken to the utility company, seeing as the bill was coming due and we needed to get this resolved. As soon as I told the lady my name, she got IRATE with me. She told me that she’s too busy to be dealing with me and that she’s been working non stop for 13 hours dealing with peoples problems and that I needed to call back tomorrow. I began to explain that I’ve been calling every day like I’d been told to and that nothing is being taken care of. She told me she did not want to argue with me (I wasn’t arguing at all, just asking when I could expect a resolution to a 2 week problem) and she hung up. I am utterly SHOCKED at the crude and unprofessional manner in which I’ve been treated the past 5 days, and most specifically today. If you can’t handle the duties of your job, that’s one thing, but in no way should you take out your frustrations on a customer. Especially one who has been nothing but patient with handling this situation.
Do not even deserve a rating. These people are the worst people ever. They are super lazy and do not get anything done. All their properties are horrible and I even had a snake in my house and called them they did not care or do anything. They suck. Save your money and time and go somewhere else!
I rented from Gilbert prior to purchasing my home. They have a vast selection of properties available and they were within my budget. I loved the town home I rented and the location was great too. My stove tore up and I reported it. The maintenance team had it fixed the same day I reported it. Whenever someone tells me they are looking for an apartment I always recommend Gilbert.
Application fee MILL. Beware!! They will always tell you need a co-signer after they took your $20. Pretty sad when you have a credit score of 698 which is considered great.
Never had a problem with Gilbert! We had little roaches in the winter, but everywhere in Cleveland has those, and they did what they could to help.
My girlfriend and I are relocating to Cleveland and decided to look at homes with Gilbert property management. We looked at 6 properties and were disappointed with each one. All of them were dirty, with many things in disrepair, and several safety concerns including outlets in the shower, stairs with no railing, and exposed electrical wires. If this is how they regularly maintain their properties, then we want no part of this company.
I never dealt with these people but my cousin has. According to him he had to have to have a co-signer nevermind the fact that he has lived in Cleveland since 2014 and his last job he was there for two years. He and his wife were staying with friends until they got on there feet. Now he is at Whirlpool been there for I think he said 9 months. He went to Gilbert Real Estate filled out and application and looked at the house he wanted to rent for his family 650 per month 3 bedroom not bad he could afford that easy yeahhh he needed a co-signer smh. Now here is the crazy part my cuz had on him 2000 dollars cash dude makes 15.00 an hour but he needs a co-signer. He said to hell with it and moved to Chattanooga. He said him and his family live in a nice place now. He said once he told his landlord that he worked at Whirlpool and showed how much he makes and the money he had on him in cash his landlord asked no more questions. That's how it's done Gilbert Real Estate
So far so goodeveyone is very helpful but unless you have great credit you'll need a cosigner. Other then that they are awesome!
I will gladly delete this review if they ever bother to call me back and resolve my issues.
For three months I've been trying to contact the "property manager," for the house I lived in.
First they tell me there's no late fee, then they put a late fee on my account. They did this two months in a row, and now they tell me they can't waive the late fee. I've long since moved out, and I can't get my deposit back because every time I call they say "We'll you'll have to speak with the property manager about that. Call back in (3 days/a week/ after the first of the month because she's really busy at the first of the month). Today I call and they say "she's out of the office." Then they put me on with someone who tells me "we don't have a 'property manager for that proprty."
All I want is to find out where my account stands and how to get my deposit back. When I call they're nasty and yell and hang up. All I want is answers.
I hope all these women die in a fire. I've bent over backwards to do the right thing, and they've done nothing but given me the run around. Given the choice between a new car and taking a huge stinky crap on their graves, Is gladly take the bus.
