  Beautiful stone Inn with magnificent mountain vistas. Friendly, professional staff and amazing chef preparing meals with local meats, dairy, vegetables. We return this same week every year to enjoy the fall colors and the peace and beauty. Having afternoon tea or a glass of wine on the terrace is a must.

  The views are phenomenal andf the food is out of this world. Wait staff is very attentive and pleasant. There is seating on the porch as well as inside the dinning room.

  This Inn is refined while rustic and relaxed place high up on the mountain. Our room, Grandfather View, was spacious and comfortable and perfect to sit and read a book while looking out at Grandfather Mountain from the large windows. Breakfast, while simple (as they were dealing with "the kitchen incident" as it was told to us by other guests) was done well (and the sausage on day 1 was spot on). We were wishing to experience dinner here but was unable to because of the previously mentioned kitchen incident (when we were checking out there was a few commercial appliance trucks there, so next trip). We ended each afternoon with tea on the porch looking out out over the valley below and at the same time being entertained by the antics of the chipmunks scurrying to and fro.

  We stayed at Gideon Ridge Inn for our elopement; our party also had dinner at the end. Everything was gorgeous, and the staff was incredible, kind, and went above and beyond in service. Dinner was excellent, and easily one of the best meals I have had while living in this area. I am extremely eager to visit this inn again!

  Amazing food. They do such a good job at flavor pairing. Went in the late summer and watched the sunset over the mountains. When the sun went down they lit a fire outside and brought candles. Had the best tequila sunrise ever. Can't wait to go back.
