I was here for a wedding last weekend and it is a beautiful venue. On top of that the waitresses and bartenders assisting us during the wedding were phenomenal. They were all nice, funny and personable. The wedding reception was from 11:15-3:00 and the service was phenomenal throughout. We were there as the staff was preparing for the dinner rush and an evening wedding and you could tell that the staff gets along with one another. I grew up in Groton but had never been here to eat, but the food and drinks were phenomenal. I can't wait to go back as a regular diner to experience some of their other dishes and drinks.

Our first experience at Gibbett Hill was a special occasion family dinner event and it was truly exceptional!  Our server (Kristen) was incredible.really took considerate care of everyone, from special dietary needs, to our family elder.  We had a wonderful time, the food was exquisite, and the whole experience beyond all expectations.  Their terrific staff handled our special requests in the planning phases and made our celebration so memorable.  I am certain many of us will be returning soon. Highly recommended.

Lovely place with great food and a well-trained wait staff. Only deducted a star for the price as it can be very expensive to take a family here, esp on a special occasion. That said, the food is terrific, the ambience a mix of classy and cozy. Best dining in the general area, but priced to match. Decent craft beer selection too, worth a mention.

One of my favorite restaurants. Awesome food, drink, and service. They grow some of their own veggies in their green house. Had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and 1 and 2 year wedding anniversary dinners. Try the crab cakes!!

Wow Just wow! Make sure you get a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance (not joking), it's well worth it. Wife and I were married in the barn and part of the package is first anniversary dinner is free - we've been going there for our anniversary ever since. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Farm fresh, local ingredients; the menu frequently changes based on the season. My ideal summer evening would be sitting in the converted grain silo with a group of friends, enjoying a great bottle of wine from the large selection (or 3 It's a big table in there!) and the view of the hill from which the restaurant gets its name. It would also include the farmhouse grilled cheese and dipping tomato soup appetizer 👌.

The service is phenomenal, the interior is beautiful, and expanded bar area really adds quite a bit of on demand seating which was desperately needed!

Overall 5 stars, would give more if I could!

Excellent meal, excellent decor, fantastic service! I had the Scottish organic salmon, and it had an incredible depth of flavor and introduced me to the amazing sweet accent of pickled ginger. Others I dined with raved about the meatloaf, clam chowder, steak frites, and haddock!

Nice fancy place with great views of cow pastures. Rustic building been built with modern amenities. Food is usually very good, usually. My braised short ribs were extremely tender and also dry. Clam chowder was awesome! Attentive wait staff accommodates as much as possible without being overbearing. Other customers may be demanding and snobs but the staff smiles their way thru.
Visit Gibbet Hill and try for yourself.

The restaurant and its surroundings are beautiful. We drove through a great section of New England countryside to get there. The food was really good. They focus on farm-to-table dining with an excellent selection of steak. My hanger steak was just a tiny bit underdone but it was still very delicious. You will want a reservation as the place seems to get very busy.

I went to the barn at gibbet hill grill for a wedding, the staff was pleasant to work with. The food was amazing and the entire feel of the place was great. It's nice to get away from the city and spend time here where you can see the cows in the pasture and enjoy nature as you have your meal. I would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

Lovely ambiance. Great drinks. Good service. Main courses cold (appetizer hot though) and not delicious. Called us twice about our reservation for 5 people then didn't have a table ready even though it was early evening and restaurant was mostly empty at our arrival time.

The new bar is a great addition to the restaurant. The only reason that I don't give this place five stars is that a beef place should have better beef. With that exception, the food is excellent.

If you are in the Boston area, this place is so worth a visit. They grow a lot of their own ingredients on property. Staff is nice and helpful. Great drinks and the steak is AWESOME!!!!
