Horrible customer service out of Carolina carports. I have been getting the run around about scheduling my building for months now. I was told a few weeks ago would get a call within a few days to schedule because I was next. I didn't get that call. I was told today it will be early December before they might schedule. I knew things have been slightly delayed but if I had know this would be happening I would have went with a totally different company. I see reviews about how poor the contractor work is out of Carolina carports now I am nervous about how it will be assembled now. I'm also having to pay an arm and a leg from where we moved for a storage unit while I wait around for this.

They are also holding up another contractor that has been trying to schedule putting up a fence around my property. They seem like they couldn't care less when I tell them that.

Was told during a phone call that they don't make any guarantee for a time frame for anything over $5,000 even though their company is on the BBB site stating that they do when responding to the other complaints.

Update - I've been rescheduled twice so far. Now it is supposedly coming Friday. Hopefully they will actually make it instead of coming up with another excuse. Sounds like this company needs a whole new planning department.

New update - Building is up and constructed very poorly. Gaps along the bottom edge, some parts are cut too long and are flared out. The bad thing is you can see the chalk line where they were supposed to cut and didn't even cut there. The roll up door frame is mounted too wide to where the door seal on the bottom doesn't seal at all. The beams are from a previous project and have holes in them from screws that were taken out. The roof over hang is sticking out too far.. about 7-8 inches on one side and just a couple inches on the other. One wall is concave and the other wall is bowed out, the window leaks. The beams that make up the wall frames aren't mounted flush to the floor beams and are being held up by a couple screws on each side. The walk through door has screws missing from a mounting on the bracket bottom. They want payment for a bad job, and said they can't get a contractor back out until after the first of the year.

Nice staff, not so good products and service. My sister bought a metal shed and has received the run around constantly from these people.

All I can say good is Ben is a nice guy. On the other hand after you purchase a building you are now put at the mercy of Carolina Carports, God help you! It is the worst workmanship possible, windows installed crooked, center beam 3” off on rear of building it’s actually bowed, panels have dents, door track cut too short causing shop to flood when it rains, I can go on and on. I’ve been trying for two months to get someone out to inspect. As of today 10/19/20 they were to be here early this morning to inspect just called me stated it will be tomorrow now, lost a day pay taking off work. Carolina carports has a 2 star rating, the owner does not take calls, their business licenses expired 12/3/19 has not been renewed and you need to read the negative reviews. It’s bad when you sell a product knowing what poor service you will receive after your purchase. Ben told me it’s rare they have issues with installation but I don’t believe him. This is a warning to anyone buying a building that will be installed by Carolina carports BEWARE!!!!! It’s only about the money by all involved not customer service, and I forgot to mention how rude Carolina carports customer service is. The only thing I have in my favor is I put a hold the money from the finance and they have not been paid, but threatening letters from Carolina carports billing department keep coming

I purchased a 30 foot by 20 foot carport for my 3 cars. The staff were very helpful in aiding me to select the correct parameters. They all showed personal concern and helped me order the carport that fit my needs. When the installation crew came out, Juan and the other two installers were very professional and skilled. In less than 4 hours the entire carport was completed. It turned out BETTER than we hoped. We recommend Georgia Portable Buildings very much!!!

It is my opinion that you cannot deal with a better Company, than Georgia Portable Buildings! I have bought two buildings from them. The first building was a 18' x 42' A-frame port for my camper. It was delivered and professionally installed in less than half a day. The second building is a 24' x 26' fully enclosed garage to house my tractors and lawnmowers. It too, was professionally installed in about 7 hours. I could not be more satisfied. I highly recommend Georgia Portable Buildings for all you building needs.

My parents bought a carport here, and though I wasn't involved in that transaction, I did have to deal with them to move my father-in-law's building to my house when he moved in with us.

They went and picked up his building, got it to my house, placed it in the exact area, leveled it, reinstalled the ramp, and did it at a reasonable price and efficiently.

I felt very comfortable buying from this company because they have been in business over 25 years. That is hard to find in this day and time. You won't be disappointed with Georgia Portable Buildings. It was a tough decision, but in the end I purchased a 10x16 portable building. The carports and metal garages were tempting though."

I purchased a 20' x 25' enclosed metal garage spring of 2015 to be delivered and installed in Austin, TX. These people were completely professional through out the entire process. I had never done this before and they coached me the entire way, and delivered exactly what was promised. Could not recommend them more highly!
