  They offer boarding, grooming, friendly staff, flexible with dropoff/pickup times, and will know you and your animal by name. Compared to the other vets I've been to in Athens, they are reasonably priced and offer referral discounts.

  Gaines School Animal Hospital is great! We have had such great experiences with our three dogs for regular check-ups and minor emergency issues. Dr. Ekman has been wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her patients.

  Our 3 year old Goldendoodle, Lucy, has been going to Gaines School Animal Hospital since she was 8 weeks old. We have been very pleased with the care Lucy has received from doctors and staff. And, the groomer, Robin, is great.

  The entire staff at Gaines School Animal Hospital are very caring and professional. I have brought our senior pug Zoe there several times and she has always been treated with such gentleness. Dr. Lisa Ekman is just wonderful. She attentively listens to your concerns and brings her wealth of knowledge to make sure your pet receives the best of care.

  Fantastic vet and vet staff at Gaines School and Barber Creek! I started going to Gaines School over a year ago and I have been happy with their service and care ever since. Having two locations in Athens makes it easy for anyone to get to, and they are always easy to get an appointment with. I even booked a dental cleaning with them in February and not only was I happy with their service and dental health month discount, but my dog was happily relaxing on a heating pad when we went to pick her up.
  I would definitely recommend Gaines School Animal Hospital to all pet lovers.
