Really big park with many attractions. It has many activities to enjoy. There's a small pond with duck's and you can fish here. It has basketball courts and volleyball courts along with this courts. There's tracks for a small train for kids that circles around the park but not sure if it's still active. Plenty of parking and at night the scenery is nice. One of the most beautiful parks I have ever visited. Fun for the whole family. From young to the aged. A park that you must visit.

Beautiful park! We were there for the 12 K's of Christmas. Awesome event! My daughter was with her cheer squad cheering on the runner's.
We also use this park a lot for photo shoots. The bridge is a fantastic spot for picture's! We love to go feed the ducks as well.response / report this review -

Great public park with so many things to do. From batting cages, a small amusement park, fishing and so much more. Great place for families and picnics or just a great walk through the park!

This is a beautiful family park. Lots of choices of things to do. Comfortable and well maintained - there is something for everyone. Several play areas for various ages. Nice clean restrooms. Good place for jogging or taking a leisurely stroll.

Great park to visit with kids and family! Green grass, playgrounds, pond and a little amusement park! Hours are different for the amusement park during the summer months. Lots of space to run and play.. Early weekend mornings there are a plethora of photographers conducting photo sessions.

This park is so beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing! It's a great place for children to play, have family bbq's & picnics and even perfect, for single adults and couples to enjoy a relaxing day.

Park has everything needed for a fun day with the kids. Modern playground, duck pond, turtles, large field for sports, BBQ pits, restrooms, carousel and even a small train for kids to travel on.

Super nice park! Giant body of water with lots of life. Multiple play areas and ball fields. Perfect for a small chair-less wedding. Areas available to rent as well for bigger events if you want vendors etc.

I love Freestone! It is a great place to take your kids!
Family friendly
Perfect to take pictures look, have picnics, etc.
Carnival like rides there.
Lots of people jog and walk throughout the park.

This is a great local park for walking, and having a morning coffee or a nice picnic. I frequently go to enjoy a read and a coffee. The regional aspect to the park means on any given weekend there's soccer, walk/run events, softball, or any other of a host of events to watch or participate in.

This park is wonderful for all families, there's even a skate park. We have come here for years for many different reasons as our kids have grown up. The most recent visit was for Prom pictures, they have some fantastic spots for photos.

A number of Gilbert endeavors are well thought out and this is but one example. Some places are big and beg the question, why? This and others have purpose from recreational, to educating, conservation, use of water, exercise, relaxation, photography, bird watching, socializing and sports.
The soccer, futbol fields actually look like pitches.Same with baseball fields. Skate park is very good. Decent number of good basketball courts. Volleyball courts are decent.
With level as well as hilly areas there are additional benefits. No apparent or serious short comings. Is it too much of one thing and therefore short in an other area. Probably not.response / report this review -

Clean fun family park. The kids loved riding the train, but loved playing around the park even better. Clean lakes, fun play structures and kiss of grass. Bring your picnic too. There clean covered picnic tables or sunny places to picnic through out the park.

One of the best parks around. Has two separate play grounds for kids. People can walk around the pond or separate trails paved with concrete. There's is also a small amusement park with several rides, again for small children. For the adults and larger kids there are softball/baseball fields, basketball courts, batting cages, and skate park.
