COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED!! SUPER 8 IS A 5-STAR HOTEL COMPARED TO FORTUNA HOUSE. THE ROOMS DO NOT PROVIDE EXTRA BLANKETS (& IT WAS 55 DEGREES), NO REPRESENTATIVE ON SITE TO REPAIR ANYTHING, such as THE BROKEN SHOWER SPEWING ONLY COLD WATER, THE BATHROOM VANITY SAT ATOP CINDERBLOCKS, NO EXTRA TOILET PAPER, AND NOT EVEN A COMPLIMENTARY BAR OF SOAP WAS PROVIDED. I HAVE PAID FAR LESS THAN $250 PLUS TAX FOR A FANTASTIC ROOM/APT AT HOLIDAY INN SUITES, SUPER 8, WYNDHAM.HELL, PICK ONE, I'M SURE ITS BETTER THAN THIS PLACE. IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR, FORTUNA HOUSE APARTMENTS WOULD RECEIVE IT. THANKS FOR THE HARD LESSON.

The room isn't quite clean, looks it on first impressions but there are pubes around on the floor and our room is covered in ants! Not to mention the windows have a visible botch job on show of expanding foam, the floor is falling apart and coming up.. all in all the room seems to be a botch job and could be improved majorly with regards of maintenance and housekeeping.
It clearly says on the website that the office is open from 3pm-12am yet I'm seeing the owner comment alot on reviews claiming the office is open from as early as 9am yet even from my experience no one was in the office until at least 3pm.
Not to mention the housekeeper/lady in office told us herself that she is the only person here and has at least 30 checkouts that day and cannot even clean them all, if anything I feel sorry for her as she was very polite and helpful but could clearly see she had too much to do in too little time.

The location is great. The office is never open and it's impossible to get in touch with anyone that works there. The cleaning service they provide is useless. I think they just put clean towels in your room but they definitely do not clean or even seeep at least. If it weren't for the location I wouldn't being staying there.

Stay at your own risk. In safe environment especially for women. No on available after 10pm reservation or not to check you in. Guest service answered the phone then stopped as we tried to get into our room.

If your looking for a good place to stay. I highly recommend this place. It can use an upgrade. But this place comes with kitchen. The front office was very nice and helpful! It's walking distance to food and stores. Also a 5 min drive to Miami Beach. Big enough for 2 people can fit up to 4! Highly satisfied! Thank you! Will be returning in the future!

Smelled of mold in the hallways (musty). Great room, everything you need. Cook in your room, plenty of room to store food. Plenty of parking on the street. Seemed like it would be safe to park too. Great location, right on the outskirts of the heart of downtown. Wonderful price.

Dated room, lock impossible to operate (sometimes taking minutes to open, even from the inside. This is a fire hazard). Room not cleaned / no clean towels; Room was not made up (no new towels received and dirty towels and dead cockroach not removed from floor) AFTER hanging up "make up room" sign 06:00. Complained to reception at noon, they promised to come back and clean in 1.5 hours so we left the hotel to vacate the room for cleaning denying the children their sleep. Came back in the evening. Dead cock roach still there along with dirty towels on the floor. Impossible to take a shower after beeing to the beach thanks to this terrible service. Called management and they apologised while trying to blame us at same time for not telling the reception (we did, see above). Unbelievable service and terrible start to our Florida vacation with two small children. Free public parking in the street and WiFi only good things. Would not stay again even at 1/3 price. Management clearly lying in review responses as I recognised all stated issues during my own stay.

Good price and location but they had ants on one side of the bed, not a clean place and bathroom was very small, no place to stand.

Unusual set up for a hotel. More like renting an apartment for the night. Rather historic with few parking options. Mostly used it for sleeping and showering and it was good for that. Had it for New year's so we could walk to and from Wynwood.

I gave 3 stars based on:
Rates are reasonable, manager is very nice and he expedited our check in. The unit is smaller than expected, when you fold out the stained futon you can play footsies from the main bed. The crowd is mostly young college age. Wasnt as clean as I like and the futon was stained pretty badly. The pics are a bit deceiving for sure.
Better than motel 6 worse than Hampton Inn.
It served my needs for 1 night but I don't see myself going back. This is a 1.5 - 2 star hotel at best, we usually stay in nicer neighborhoods with fluffier pillows.
My 22 yr old would be right at home here.

If i could give the review no stars, I would. I went to Life In Color this weekend and the hotel was the worst part of my trip. I would have rather slept in my car. First of all, theres no parking at this sorry excuse for a hotel other than in a sleazy alley. Not safe at all. Secondly, the building is falling apart. The "office" is an old hotel room which they put a couple chairs in and a fold up table. I paid 250$ for a hotel I perceived to be very nice according to the website pictures. The first people i talked to when I arrived said the same thing my friends and I did, "what the **** is this? It looked way different on the website". Don't waste your time here. I want my money back but know that won't happen even though it was the most unsatisfactory stay of my life. If you want to make this right, contact me and we can talk about repaying me for my horrible stay. Have a great day.
